Most fairways are "crowned" or severely slope to one side & into a dry ravine. This makes positioning your ball a premium shot.
Quarry Pines Golf Club
Played On 03/17/2015Two Totally Different Nines
The front nine is flat & relatively easy. 2 hour pace of play. The back nine takes you in, down and around a quarry with narrow fairways & significant changes in elevation.
The greens were slow & the tee boxes needed to be cut and better maintained, but overall, it is a unique experience not to be missed at least once.

Course is wide open. Hard to loose a ball.
Slower play due to mediocre clientele.
SaddleBrooke Ranch Golf Club
Played On 2/26/2013Remote, cooler & windier, but a good value.
Wide open. Hard to loose a ball with generous fairways & few swails or arroyos. Greens are large enough to find in regulation.
Greens are reasonable speed & putt true.
