It was very windy the day I played but this didn't detract much from the experience.
It's a really well maintained course, ran by Synergy golf. Fairways, rough and the greens are all brilliant.
It's very open off the tee and the greens tend to be generally flat. And as such a big hitter and good putter would make hay around this course.
But overall a nice varied layout with different options and great conditioning!
Fully recommend!

A good challenging track.
Par 69 with 3 par 5s and 6 par 3s.
Can be very tight in spots if you tend to be a bit wayward (like me!) so takes a bit of planning.
Probably a track you could play better the second time around once you knew the layout better.
Overall quite enjoyable though. One down point though was that a lot of the bunkers were water logged even at the end of May

Great course and a decent challenge.
It's fairly open for the most part off the tee so the key is with an iron in hand for the most part.
Greens had recently been scraped and sanded when we played but other than that in great condition.
A nice mix of challenging holes and opportunities.
And what a fantastic piece of land Carton House is on!
