Silverhorn Golf Club

The Greens were still recovering from being “punched” and should be playable in 10 days or so. Fairways were in typical early spring condition but several trees had been taken down and were just laying around on tee boxes and other areas. The most disturbing part of my round was the tee boxes. I play the yellow tees and it was nothing but sand. Not from coming out of the winter months, there was just not any grass on them. They did not even make an attempt to place them where there was any grass. This was not only just the par 3’s but the par 4’s also. There were more broke tees than grass. Would not consider playing there again until late in the fall when they have had time to get it together.

However, we had a 10:20 am tee time and the greens were still frozen. They sent everyone off hole 10 which was no problem until we made the turn. We had to wait on three groups because they changed at some point in the morning and the staff was not there to monitor groups coming off the back nine. It cause a delay that lengthened the round to over 5 hours. Over all the course was fantastic and the staff was terrible.
