The Golf Club at Summerbrooke
Played On 03/19/2018Tired course
This was probably once a very nice course. Good layout. Undermaintained. Gas carts, very broken up cart paths.
Diamond Oaks Municipal Golf Course

Nice layout. Greens in outstanding winter condition. Fairways have been hit by a lot of rain, so just ok.

Played On 03/06/2017Good time.
A pleasant drive from Palm Desert. Great design. 4 hr round on a Monday. Good practice facilities.
Salmon Run Golf Course
Played On 02/22/2015Fun course
Like others have said, keeping the ball in the fairway is the challenge. Bring extra balls. We lost 6 but found 4. Would be hard to walk due to elevation of so many tees and concrete walkways up the hills. The course was in good winter condition.
Stevinson Ranch
Played On 02/18/2015Great again!
We stayed and played here 3 years ago. We were wandering CA playing golf at public course. This place is great! I can't figure out how a course this good could be built so far from any metropolis. They also are very "green", as in solar electric, wetlands preservation and restoration, composting toilets on the course, and they even let me plug in my Volt! And such a bargain. If this course were near a major city, they could easily charge $100-$120, maybe more per round. The only disadvantage of this relatively remote location is accommodation and food. Not to say that the cabins aren't great, but other than the pool (seasonal), there wouldn't much for a non-golfer to do. And my wife felt that $9 bucks for a veggie sandwich was a little high.
Finally, I will never pass through this area without a stop here.
Riverside of Fresno Golf Course
Played On 02/17/2015Nice course, great value
Course was is in ok winter condition, but lots of bare lies in the fairways. Staff was nice, rental pull carts in good shape. Grill staff very accommodating as we got a great veggie sandwich, though not on the menu. $54 total for 2 of us was great, considering it is a good basic course.
Airways Golf Course
Played On 02/16/2015Very basic muni.
Muni's like this are necessary for golf, to introduce new players who might feel intimidated at a better course. T-shirts and blue jeans are the dress code. Every hole requires diligence as balls come flying in from everywhere and some of the players have not learned yet how to yell FORE. That said, the course was in really sad shape. Fairways were bare hardpan in many cases. Greens and tee boxes were green, but that's about all that can be said of them. We wanted to walk, but the course only has one push cart to rent and it was already in use. Can't help but wonder if the resident pro thought he would end up here when he got his A card.
