This course is as simple as it gets. Driver, wedge, make putts. Subtle breaks to watch out for in the greens, but nothing major. For a course of its caliber, it is maintained overall pretty well and the staff is overwhelmingly nice.

This course offers so many things to a golfer. The course is always in great shape and is super tricky. You cannot beat the deal for a membership here. 240 a month with no initiation is unheard of for a course of this caliber. The staff is great. They work hard for those out on the course and make sure that everyone enjoys their time at Glenrochie. I would recommend all join and play this golf course if they can over the other courses in the area solely based on the staff and the people around you at Glenrochie. It is a perfect fit for a membership.

Great course for the average golfer. It is not very difficult, but it can bite you under certain conditions. It has a layout that is just fun to play rather than challenging as much. The staff is great. Sometimes the course can get backed up, but typically this course is not too backed up. I would recommend to anyone to play here as well!

This course has great deals on certain days of the week where you can play 18 holes for 18 dollars. That is a great deal for a course in this shape. Since going public, Holston Hills has improved tremendously. It has been great to see the changes take place. I will continue to keep playing here.

Everything about Fincastle is great... Except for the staff. We use to love seeing the two college schools that were able to play up at the course play. They are hardly allowed playing time on the course. They treated the members with nothing but respect. This is especially surprising as we typically have almost 0 play anymore. I would think that the staff would want the course looking as busy as possible. It does not make sense. They are also rude to some members. As far as the course goes, it is great. Replace with a new staff that actually knows how to run a golf business and you could see this course grow again. Until then, keep on expecting the same at Fincastle.

This course is terribly maintained and the holes are set up to be no fun. Forces you to hit a 20 yard fade into a par 3 straight uphill around a tree. It just is not fun or fair.
