I was having a bad day swinging the clubs but the course is not to blame for my lack of skill, LOL. It is a somewhat challenging layout as you must lay up on a bunch of holes and then have a long shot into the green, especially on many of the par-4 holes. The fairways and greens were in good shape and were rolling really well.

It had not rained in days and this course was still disgustingly muddy. I cannot believe they were even allowing people to play many of the holes. you would land your ball in the fairway and it would completely plug to where you couldn't possibly find it. I went through almost two sleeves of balls on good shots. Other than that the course layout is okay and I may come back and play here if it hasn't rained in over a month.

I would come to play here a lot more if I lived closer. Good layout with some really difficult holes.

Really liked the layout of the Blue Heron course, but man was it a challenge!! The greens are super tight and lightning fast. Some really challenging shots over water and then fairways in many spots.

Only negative was the aerated greens were like playing plinko. Can't wait to go back when spring hits full swing.

Loved this course. The greens were not in great shape but they'll be back in a couple weeks. They were just aerated. Great layout and beautiful area.

I was very impressed by this place. The greens were lightning fast even a day after rain. The fairways were starting to get up earlier than other places around there area. This is definitely a challenge for any golfer! Must play!!

This course was in great shape even with how wet it's been around here it was very fun. It was actually raining during half the round. I'll definitely be back in the spring to see this beautiful course. Staff was great as well!!

this course has a great layout but do not play this course if there has recently been a heavy rain because water gathers between holes and on the cart path and every other where you can think of. This course is literally in a swamp.

I played today (25 June '20) and the course is in spectacular shape!! Best course within 50 miles of Hampton Roads for sure!

Sleepy Hole is one of the toughest places I've played in the area. Lots of hazards! Distance control is paramount here. Still love playing here even though my scores are 10 strokes higher than most other local courses.

Great place to play golf but the greens were aerated and like playing Plinko. Can't wait to play when it's back in full green and the greens are healed.

I was not impressed with top golf, once again! The food is okay and the bar is good. The pace of play for the computers sucks and the targets never count accurately. The staff was very mediocre here too. I only go because it's a good place to go with friends who don't play golf but wanna hang out. It's a very expensive glorified driving range!

Can't go wrong. Great layout and friendly staff. In good condition even in the off season. Can't wait to play in the Spring.

This is a great course but don't play after a big rain. Water standing everywhere!!

I have been putting off playing this course because it is over a half hour away from my home. This was obviously a mistake as I really love this course. the only real issue I have with it is the lack of sand in the bunkers and a couple soggy fairways. I will definitely be playing here often especially with the condition of the course in the winter time being so good.

The course is really pretty and laid out well. The practice facilities are really nice and the burger at the pro shop was amazing. The golf shop is small but loaded with choices and the staff is really friendly. The only issue I had is there were three holes down for renovation and there were a bunch of muddy spots throughout the course. I would definitely love to return here in the spring or summer when the grass is green.

The only thing negative I have to say about this course is the few muddy spots scattered around and the fact that they are revamping three holes so I only got to play 15. Other than that this course is great and very fun and challenging.

This is one of the most beautiful courses in the area and is quite a challenge. I will definitely be back here once my game is a little more solid. I think I lost four balls on my round of 99 strokes. it is one of the few courses in the area that give you a book with each hole's layout. that definitely helps the first time you're playing a course and need to know your landing areas and where the hazards are.

This is hands down one of the best places to play golf in Richmond. The facilities are really nice and the course was in immaculate condition.
