Lake Forest Golf Club
Played On 04/03/2019Course needs work!
Calling this a Championship course is a stretch. It may have been in its day, but it is a long way from that today. When you arrive at the street entrance, you have the allusion that it just might be a nice course - but, I think the only grass they water is by the street entrance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The smell of pine oh on the course was great on a beautiful day. And, I enjoyed the layout of the course - the course is laid out in a mature neighborhood. I think it has good potential to be a nice course and worthy of play - if they get it in shape. The greens on the course were very poor - in fact, for the most part you could say they weren’t greens at all.
We played under a Golf Now “hot deal” - even at the price we paid, it wasn’t a deal. If you are just visiting the area, I would suggest finding another course to play. If you live in the area - it might be worth checking out if they fix the greens.

Played On 07/03/2015A great start to the 4th of July
A couple of the holes present tricky blind shots, but overall this course is fun to play and is in decent shape. The course was busy on the 4th of July weekend - they were out of golf carts when we arrived. Once on the course we only waited briefly on a couple of the holes on the front nine - things seemed to move along. Holes 7, 8, and 9 were backed up.
This is a course that I always enjoy playing when we are at our cottage in the area. The weekend weather for this round was picture perfect and an eagle shot 120 yards out on a par four, hole 11, made the round enjoyable and memorable.
