The management team is prejudiced against Golf Now players in an overt manner and does its best to make them unwelcome. I would not recommend this course. Further, from the putting green to the so-called driving range, the facilities are decidedly fourth class. If that is not reason enough, management policy requires play to begin on the back nine every other day and the 10th hole is a par 3 requiring 100% carry over water from tee to green. A very poor starting hole.

Course is muddy, wet, sloppy, soupy, undrivable and unwalkable. You will not be able to play your ball down, and if you use a cart, you will walk most of the way. And if you walk, which you will most of the way or all of the way, your waterproof shoes will be tested to their limits. The course needs to be closed for awhile to dry out and to allow maintenance to cut the greens, fairways and rough.

The conditions of the course are disappointing. Last time I played here the course was in excellent shape. Not so much this time. The tees and fairways are pitiful, More dirt than grass. The greens were much better than the rest of the course but the greens had been punched some time ago but there were indentations, little craters all over them. Sad to see.

Wekiva is a fun course to play. But you'd better be good out of a bunker, because the greens are surrounded. The staff in the clubhouse and on the course are friendly. The new carts are great. But the ladies tees are questionable. And the real reason this is our 3rd choice course is the slow fivesomes they allow. Very annoying. The rules of golf say foursomes. Your local rule just irritates my wife and I to no end.

The course is in the best condition I have ever seen and the new carts are terrific. Everything is great and the greens are lightning fast and hard. Really the only negative are the fivesomes on the course. Don't know why management allows this aggravating nuisance repeatedly. It does not benefit anyway and is very discouraging for anyone behind them. Kudos to the grounds workers for a fine job. Now if management would just appease almost everyone and ban fivesomes. A group of five players can play much more efficiently and effectively as a threesome and twosome. Additionally, I have never been behind a fivesome that moves at a normal to fast pace. It just does not happen. That is why they are banned on almost every course except del la Russa's (sp) Wekiva course.. It's time to get smart.

The course is in fine shape overall. Greens are slow but in nice condition. Fun course to play.

The greens were full of holes and had a nice thick coat of new sand. Too bad no one at GolfNow or in the pro shop thought that was worth mentioning to unsuspecting golfers. Really a shame.

With a withering number of golfers out on courses these days why is this not worth mentioning? It just discourages golfers like me from returning. Secretive operations kept from the golfing community does not win friends.

A beautiful course, extremely well-groomed and maintained. Nice views and a pleasure to play. Good scoring conditions with such top notch course maintenance. Kudos to maintenance crew. They seemingly work 7 days a week and it shows.

Management is raking in the dollars but the overall condition of the course is poor and pace of play is s-o s-l-o-w. Fairways and tees are threadbaren and the greens, while fast, are dull and colorless like the rest of the course. Manager has little respect for golfers and broken promises for improvements have faded from manager's memory. If you like plenty of weeds in the bunkers you might enjoy playing here. Spend your dollars and time elsewhere is my recommendation. One more thing - it is always nice to have to start a round on the 10th hole to get out of rhythm on a perfect weather day and then finish the round by sitting in a permanent trailer clubhouse with some overpriced refreshments.

Contrary to some recent Polyana reviews the course has deteriorated in the last two months to mostly dirt/mud greens and dirt fairways. The course was lush green two months ago and now resembles a dirt race track. Grass is lost and weeds and dirt have taken over. Pitiful.

Did you ride or walk? BOTH. We rode the cart path and walked the golf course. The alert said OK to drive in the rough. The alert was wrong. Cart man said cart path only. And he was right. It's a long course and no roll because they water every two-three hours and the course is wet and the ball is muddy. You betch'a. No need to take a shower when you get home because you will be thoroughly soaked while you are playing. Relentless watering the entire fairway with no chance of avoiding the drenching with no warning. The course is a little far out and, perhaps, not worth the drive. The guys in my foursome were tired and wanted to quit long before 18. See you on the links.

Do you enjoy playing behind a fivesome? If so, you will like this course. We were behind at least three fivesomes. We called course management from the course and they said we allow fivesomes. In other words they embrace a practice that is intrusive for everyone behind such a group. We also noticed a threesome playing in one cart with one golf bag. One player swung four times at the ball before making contact. Fortunately they were several holes ahead of us. We also had a singleton drive his ball through us on one hole and then say he was playing through. A few minutes later he came back the other way and said there are a lot of players ahead of you. Guess he was playing all over the course where ever he could find an open tee. Overall we would rate course management a zero at Wekiva. Worst conditions ever experienced.

Course was in great shape in spite of all the recent rain and hurricane. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the pace of play was enjoyable. The best part of the day was finding the improved greens with fast, smooth and true rolling conditions. The golfing was pleasurable from beginning to end. Well done Red Tail.

Course was virtually unplayable today. Standing water in many places, many fairways closed to carts due to soggy conditions, and, worst of all, greens heavily sanded. There was no notice of golfing conditions posted on Golf Now and not a word was mentioned in the pro shop regarding the poor playing conditions on the course. This is unacceptable in my view. No advance notification and no apologies at completion. The ball was totally dropped by Golf Now and the Waldorf.

Course is fun to play. The two nines are totally different -Lakes and Highlands - and the names are accurate as well as descriptive. Fairways and greens are v. good for the most part. However, some greens are starting to brown. Several tees need immediate attention. Shot my second to best score ever - two over. Staff are the best - friendly and courteous. Ice water and ball washers on many tees. Keep up the effort and speed up the greens!

If you like playing behind a fivesome, this is the place for you. In the clubhouse later, a "member" said we play fivesomes all the time. There is no golf etiquette or courtesy at this course. Players beware.

Panther is a terrific course and a pleasure to golf. That said, the course had been over seeded and the pace of play was slow - five hours - so conditions were just average today. All in all though, the weather was terrific and we had a great time. This is an elite course, albeit tres expensive, but definitely in the top tier of courses in the country.

A new trend? We had two foursomes with a total of eight golf carts in front of us. They held us up but would not let us through. On the back nine we had a single behind us who kept hitting into us before we had cleared the green because we were holding him up. How's that for a golf etiquette conundrum?

Greens in great shape; rest of course is fair to awful with a couple of holes worse than a cow pasture. What are they thinking letting people play under such poor conditions. Not worth the price at any fee.
