Decided to drive from downtown to try out this course based on the overall good ratings. We were deeply disappointed from the first tee box. A group (3 carts) playing on an adjacent hole was driving around on hole one looking for balls and when finding them proceeded to play as it lied thus delaying our round. Directional signs were oddly placed for hole 3 making it a bit confusing (sign placed before bridge with arrow not after making it clear that it was down the path.) At hole 3 we caught up with a 4some that made the pace of play exhaustingly slow ( waited 5-10 minutes on each hole to either tee off or approach the green) no ranger even though two more groups were backing up behind us. At hole 7 we were clearing the green on 6 they teed off then drove over to make a pit stop at the bar cart. Waiting again at 8 the group behind us caught up and the group behind them was approaching the green. 2hrs and 40 minutes to play 9? Unreasonable.
They indicate "Proper Golf Attire Required" I guess that includes blue jean's, cargo shorts, and tee shirts.
Cart paths are in horrible shape, tee boxes filled with unaddressed divots, dead spots in fairways, and non existent ranger. The bar a has a separate liquor license from the golf course so you have to either wait for the bar cart or call for service.
Only bright spot was the greens, excellent condition, very challanging and super fast.
All and all if you are thinking about driving any distance to play check out your other options.
