Skylinks Golf Course
Played On 06/27/2021WAY Overpriced
If it was 30 bucks cheaper, this would be a great track but over 80 bucks for a 2:50 tee time is absurd for this place.
First the good: the layout is fun and reasonably challenging for an LBC muni. They actually have a starter keeping things organized at the first tee. Greens were fairly slow but they were in good shape. They finally have the ball washers and rakes back.
Now the bad: 5+ hour round was brutal. The bev cart apparently was out for 2 hours after we started but we never saw it. Tee boxes were really tore up. Fairways were mostly alright but the rough had tons of dead spots and big patches of just bad grass/weeds.
Overall, it was just ok. Definitely not worth 83 bucks when you can get the exact same experience at Big Rec, ElDo, Navy, or Lakewood for 20-30 bucks cheaper.
Eagle Glen Golf Club
Played On 10/24/2020Worst Golf Experience This Year
The big problem was that we got stuck behind a drunken birthday party. The round took SIX HOURS. Our group called the clubhouse, the group behind us called, and the group behind them called. How do I know? Because we were all together on almost every teebox. I saw 1 ranger and nothing improved.
Onto the course itself.. fairways were burned out. Teeboxes were tore up. Greens had been punched recently (thanks for the heads up, golfnow).
It's a shame because the last time we were out there, it was a great experience. It was about half the price, the layout is fun, it WAS in good shape, and pace of play was fine. Honestly not sure if I'm going to waste my time driving out there again.
Glen Ivy Golf Club

GET A STARTER ON THE FIRST TEE. There were like 8 twosomes down there and we had to talk amongst ourselves to figure out who's teeing off when. We (12:30) ended up pairing up with a single (12:22) because apparently the other people in our groups never showed?
Also, why are we going back to 8 minute gaps in tee times instead of 10 minutes?? It took us almost SIX HOURS to get around this place. Literally every single tee box was stacked up. We saw a marshal once and he brushed off our complaints about how insanely slow it was.
The layout of the course is fine. Greens were somehow both slow and not receptive. Fairways needed to be cut. Didn't have much of an issue with dirt patches like I've seen in other reviews.
Overall, horrible experience; not playing here again. If I'm driving all the way out to Corona, I'll play Eagle Glen or make the trek to Oak Quarry.
Skylinks Golf Course
Played On 08/01/2020Overpriced in a misleading way
First off, golfnow had the price at $64.50 with cart. They charged us $79.50 (15 was for a cart). Bad start.
The course was fine. It's an easy, fairly boring layout. Greens are very undulating which was fun. Fairways were fine but the rough was dried out - looks like they hadn't watered it in days.
The surprise cart fee kind of put an early damper on the day but we still had fun.
El Dorado Park Golf Club
Played On 01/11/2020SLOW.
Tee time was 11:20. Didn't tee off until about 11:55. Front 9 took 3 hours, back 9 took 2.5. Barely finished before it got dark. They really need a marshall out there and they need to stop allowing 5somes. There's no reason a round here should take more than 5 hours. Won't be going back in the winter.
