Hawk's Creek Golf Club

This course needs some sort of starter at the tee box, to have a twosome, a twosome, single, twosome, another twosome and another single is just the pits. And when the front twosome are playing from the tips and think they are PGA pros cause for a massive traffic jam, and no one asked if they would like to join up, there is no reason for this. 4 hours and we only reached number 12, I had to leave.
Hawk's Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/12/2015It Can Bite You
The one sure thing you can say about Hawk's Creek is that it will jump up bite you if you don't pay attention on all your shots. The rough makes it hard to get up and down if you miss either fairway or green. Greens are fast and have some ever so slight breaks.
Duck Creek Golf Course
Played On 12/13/2014Decievingly tough course
Do not be fooled by the short holes, danger awaits on both sides. Fallen leaves hide your ball quite well, I lost two balls right next to the green, somewhere under the leaves. Greens were tough to read, not as much break as you think. Overall a good test for long/mid irons/hybrids.
SugarTree Golf Club

I try to play this outstanding layout twice a month. Due to work I haven't been able to play it for 6 weeks.
I found the course in good shape, the greens were unexpectantly in better shape than I thought they would be fast and true. If this course was located anywhere within the confines of Dallas/FTW they could charge 4times what they do and it would be a bargain.

One of the few public courses in the area that actually has sand in the sand traps, a strange but welcomed thing. The greens had to be running well over 11. With all the rain we have had lately the holes with water actually had water and played like they were meant to be. I shot a 89 (took 39 putts-told you) and normally shot in low 80s here.
Iron Horse Golf Course
Played On 8/30/2013some real tough holes out there
greens were in good shape considering the heat we have had. Sand traps or should I say dirt traps, a bit of maintenance in this area is needed badly

Fairways in great shape, greens were normal for this time of year. Arnold for sure designed it to challenge you. Depending on your distance off the tee and what tees you use you could hit driver maybe 3 times, use every club you have.
Benbrook 3 Par

100 DEGREES AND NO WATER, GREENS IN POOR SHAPE HALF OF THE GREENS HAD MUD HOLES ON THEM. I WOULDNT PLAY THE COURSE AGAIN IF YOU PAID ME TOO.
Wildhorse Golf Club of Robson Ranch - South/West Course
Played On 8/1/2013Bring an extra sleeve of balls
It had been a while since I last played this course. The fairways were in great shape and the rough was nice and lush and tough to get out of. Greens had just recently been aerated and sanded in a couple weeks should be lighting fast. Birdies out there but don't blink or the double bog will sneak up on you.

Figure any course Greg Norman designed and then said was too hard has to be a good one. Often slow going at times, but overall this course will test you every which way

I use this course to update my club distances using my GPS. Since it isnt very often crowded, this is a great course to do this. The fact this course is very walkable is a great plus

Some short holes to make you feel good, but the tough holes play tough. Have to play smart.
