LPGA Jones is a good golf course. Unfortunately, it suffers from a lack of attention on the golfers who play there. 90+F day yesterday and there’s no ice on the course. The occasional fountain w no cups is inadequate. The twilight rate of $39 is the right price, which is why the tees are jammed after 3 pm.

LPGA has a great tradition as a great golf venue. Today, it’s lacking in a number of critical areas.

Celebration was once a very good golf course. Even though it was among the most unwelcoming courses in Florida, it made up for it with a unique layout and fast greens. Today, the greens remain quick but the rest of the course is worn out. Tee boxes have no grass; the pro shop inventory is 1/3 what it once was; and the course, overall, just needs a lot of work to restore its overall appeal.
