First time playing this course. The woman at checkin could not have been nicer, Gave my son a youth rate even though we didn’t book it. Course is fun lots of dogleg lefts which is unusual. greens and fairways in nice shape. Former private club that is older but still feels private. We had a wonderful day and will be back this weekend. Great value!

Love the course and staff are very friendly. My son and I have played here a few times this winter. Played after 1PM on a Saturday this time. Huge mistake. Foursome in front of us was group of kids slamming beers hitting balls all over course. Playing at snails pace that just got slower. Then they started getting high and really slowed. We finally just skipped a hole and passed them after 9. Then ran into 2 other crazy slow groups beyond them. Finished in nearly 5 hours and only played 16 holes paid hundred bucks. Without any ranger this will happen. Play here in mornings to avoid the same. Won’t hold it against the course as this was first bad experience.

First time at this course. Staff was great. Course in great shape. Tough layout and helps to know the course. Beautiful setting in December. Only complaint is the very slow pace of play. The staff warned us about this before we teed off. It seems to be the case at every course in the valley this time of year. We will definitely play this course again. Worth the 30 mile drive to play.

Played this course for the first time with my teen age son. Price was high for a Sunday afternoon late in APR and 94F weather. All staff we met were very nice and the service was great. Pace was very slow for first nine holes with lots of local members in front of us socializing. Decided to take lunch at turn and hope for faster play closer to end of day. The Bar and Grille was great, nice service. After long late lunch, the back nine opened up and my son and I had a great nine holes of golf. Course was in good condition for late APR with change from Rye to Bermuda. We will come back again, hoping for better Summer rates next time.
Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course
Played On 04/23/2017Bring your earplugs
Played the south course on a Sunday afternoon with my teenage son. Staff was great, course in good shape, practice facility nice. All was good until the noise from the giant pool party started from the nearby Talking Stick resort hotel. It started off low than got louder and louder as the afternoon went on. The DJ of the party was yelling obscenities trying to fire up the drunken crowd over a very loud speaker. The never ending dance club music and its deep thumping bass gave Us both a huge headache by the back nine. The closer you are to the hotel the louder it got but there is nowhere you can go to escape it. By the 18th hole we were just worn down and wanted to get out of there. Suspect this is a normal deal on the weekends. Definitely not a good place to play if you are looking for a peaceful quiet round of golf. Nobody warned us about this when we checked in or when we booked our tee times. Really hate to portray this as a bad place as everything else was really nice. To be safe bring ear plugs or call to get the pool party schedule.
