Eco Golf Club

This used to be a fairly well kept golf course but not so much anymore. Fairways, tee boxes were scruffy and the greens were terrible. Sorry but I'm never coming back.

Interesting and challenging course featuring fairly narrow and undulating fairways with plenty of bunkers and excellent greens. The only issue was the large drainage canal that bordered on the right side of the fairways. Not such a good choice if you're a right who hits a slice or big fade. We'll probably play there again next time we're in town. Side note, clubhouse is small, but not n issue for us. Fairways are lush and provide a very nice layer of grass to help with hitting your approach shots.
Stallion Mountain Golf Club
Played On 10/06/2023Excellent course
The course was in better shape than it was a couple years ago. Greens were really nice, fairways were lush, fringe around greens was also very consistent. Some of the rough with what looked like Bermuda grass was a bit challenging but that's what we get for our inaccuracies. Good choice when in Vegas. We'll be baaaacj!
Hidden Valley Golf Club
Played On 09/21/2023Nice public course
Hidden Valley is a very nice course that is fun for us average golfers. Nice layout with lots of variation on hole configuration. Most of the greens were in good shape, round 8n shape and slanted back to front. Some of steep drop offs on the back side so leaving the ball short is the better option. Staff is friendly the beer is cold and we enjoyed the food. We're going again in a couple days and every time we're in the area.
The Legacy Golf Club
Played On 10/07/2022Nice course nice deal
Overall well maintained and interesting course. Some holes are gorgeous. Greens were a little scratchy most fairways were very nice. Rough is thick and we lost a couple balls in it so keep it in the short grass. First time for our group but we'll be back!
Flamingo Lakes Country Club
Played On 08/03/2022Quick round
Flamingo Lakes is a well maintained interesting gold course. The greens are ok, not great, the layout is interesting. A bit narrow for some. The back nine has three par threes with two of them over water. All in all it's a pretty course and I always enjoy playing there. Sadly there is no bar although there is a small restaurant. The back nine was closed when I played so I played the front nine with two balls. Fastest 18 of my life!
Flamingo Lakes Country Club
Played On 03/10/2020Attractive and challenging
This course has a very interesting layout. There are some greens that are really nice and others that ate a little scruffy. The green on number two is very small but there are others that are pretty large. Some are nice and some are pretty bumpy, number three in particular. Although it's not a long course there are some rather tight tree lined fairways and plenty of water. There are three par 3s on the back with two over water. The course offers lots of moguls leading to some challenging lies. All in all it's a fun and reasonably priced course. Sidenote:There is no 19th hole (but there is a diner). Not so good for after golf beers. There are plenty of places nearby so it's not much of a deterrent. Enjoy!
Southwinds Golf Course
Played On 10/13/2017Great short course
The course was in as good of shape as ever. It's been raining a lot so the greens were holding well. The greens are always nice. This is a great course for shorter hitters but it's a little too tight for bombers to enjoy except for a few holes. It has a nice range area including chipping, putting and even bunker shots. All in all Southwinds is a fun course for a reasonable price.
Thank you so much for coming out to Southwinds. We are definitely not the longest course around, but you'll be kept on your toes for all 18 holes. We appreciate the four-star review.
Carolina Golf Club
Played On 06/03/2017Nice course, maybe
We haven't played here is a few years because during season it's a bit pricey. It's a nice layout with lots of water demanding that shots be placed carefully. The fairways, fringe and other areas are fine but the greens were a disappointment. They have a nice quick speed but they're also patchy and a little bumpy. Your putts will track pretty well but i think the greens cot beat up by the amount of play during out winter season. It's close to being a really nice course. Nice clubhouse and very friendly staff help.
Royal/Sabal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/10/2015Classic Southeast Florida delight
Although this course lacks the tall pines and sprawling live oaks of some other courses in the area you won't be disappointed with your experience here. With the three nine hole options they keep it interesting. Watch out for the first par five on the Royal nine. It's a tricky one. The courses is in great shape now so give it a try.
Primm Valley Golf Club - Desert Course
Played On 10/23/2015Desert wow!
This course is really spectacular. Every hole is well designed, challenging and just gorgeous! If you can keep it in the short grass you'll do fine but if you stray you'll find yourself is dangerous waste areas, gullies, rocky hills or impressively deep bunkers. The greens are well sloped and plenty fast as well. They have a spacious practice area that keeps you busy as you warm up for your round. Our group struggled(high handicappers) but totally enjoyed the experience due to the beauty of this fabulous course. I'd recommend it to anyone. We got lucky and found a deal on GolfNow so it was a real bargain as well. Well worth the 50 minute drive from Las Vegas.
Thank you so much for this review, we really hope that we have met all your needs and created a positive experience for you out on the course. Hope to see you very soon!
Park Ridge Golf Course
Played On 06/19/2015Ups and downs in the flatlands
This is a very unique course for southeast Florida. It was constructed over land that once was a landfill so there are elevations like no other course in south Florida. It has 6 par 4's, 6 par 5's and 6 par 3's. None of the holes have the same look. Which is impressive considering the 6 par 3's. All are unique in length, elevation and look. All in all the course is in fine shape, the greens are great right now, and it's well worth the price and travel. Try it, you'll like it!
Bonita National Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/13/2015Just another southwest Florida community course
We didn't realize they had punched the greens recently or we may not have played this course. Otherwise the course is in nice shape but lacks character. Nothing unique about it. It's a typical southwest Florida course. I guess it'll be nice when it matures but it sure could use some more trees and more elevations would've been nice. Otherwise it's an ok course, especially at summer rates.
Cypress at Palm-Aire Country Club
Played On 05/12/2015Southeast Florida golf as it should be
My wife and I played early on a Tuesday morning (we're retired) and had a wonderful experience at this course. We had not played here in about three years and found the course and facilities as good as ever. The course is one of the best in our area. It has an interesting layout with varying length holes each with their own individual challenges. Non of the par threes were the same. The greens are in very nice shape, in spite of getting lots of play as are the fairways and tee boxes. There are not a lot of water hazards but plenty of trees and bunkers. One bunker had a somewhat muddy wet bottom area but otherwise they were playable. Try it, you'll like it.
Glades at Colony West Country Club
Played On 11/24/2014Glades dreary Glades
Over the years I've played this course many times. It's a nice set up for a nice change from stressful long courses. It's a good set up for seniors, iron practice or couples golf. My only complaint is the greens. They used to be terrible, then better and now back to pretty bd. There are smatterings of bumpy, dead or diseased grass on every green. In some areas you have nice putting and others it's hopeless. The fairways are fine but let's fix the greens!
West at Woodlands Country Club
Played On 10/05/2014Woodlands West - first impressions
This course is in excellent condition and play moves along well enough. A formerly private course, it provides a country club atmosphere and is welcoming to public golfers. Compared to other clubs in the area it's a superior experience for a comparable price. I'd like to play the east side next and see if there's a difference. The only course in the area that compares would be Inverrary. Overall I would give this course an "A-" The only thing that was a little bit less than ideal was the sand in some of the bunkers. For a classic south Florida golf course this one is hard to beat. Lots of old cypress trees, live oaks with Spanish Moss on them and palms as well. Overall it's nicely landscaped. By the way, the clubhouse is very impressive and the bar is comfortable and the food is good. It just needs a little more personality and options for beer on tap. (like Sam Adams or Guinness)
West at Inverrary Country Club
Played On 04/18/2014A nice time on a nice course
Best course around with the Golfnow and summer time rates in effect. My playing partner were impressed with the course condition, except for the bunkers which were a bit thin on sand and somewhat hard packed in places. The greens were fast but in really good condition as were the fairways and fringe areas. We will definitely be back this summer.

I used to play this course back in the 80's and I was pleasantly surprised that it's in much better shape than back then My buddies liked it and we found it to be a good course for average golfers like us. If you're a low handicapper you might not find it up to your standards but for us it was great.
Championship at Colony West Country Club
Played On 4/28/2013Still a great layout and a good challenge for anyone.
The greens need a little refinement but it's still a very challenging venue. Very classic South Florida set up and plenty of water, trees and sand. You need to bring your "A" game here.
Flamingo Lakes Country Club
Played On 4/3/2013Consistently nicely maintained course.
This course is always in good shape. Not fabulous but nice. It's a good test and there are some unique holes where driving accuracy is a must. There are three par threes on the back nine and numbers 14 and 16 require shooting over water. Number 14 is the most attractive of all the par threes. This course requires some good management but there are opportunities for scoring well if you can place your shots.
Hi, edusher. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at Stallion Mountain Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you on the course soon for another 5-star experience!
