What a Gem!

Such a beautiful piece of land surrounded by gorgeous homes (none are really reachable from the course). I played after a short, heavy rain and the course could not have been any more perfect. Tee to green was meticulously manicured. Greens had been recently sanded, yet there was no loss of speed (fast) and still rolled true. I was lucky and had it to myself, so played 18 in 2.5 hours. 10/10 would do again!

Fun layout, good price.

Found this one for $10 on GN and couldn't pass up a round for that price. Played this course last summer and was hoping conditions were a little better. Tee boxes need some love but not terrible. Fairways were the roughest, I was in the fairway a lot and still had some bad lies. Greens were FAST. I think they were pushing 11 and many of then have a lot of undulation. I really like the layout but the course needs someone with deep pockets to make it perfect.

Legendary Oaks, a reason to go to Hempstead

I was a little late and the staff was very receptive and got me out pretty quick. The course is plenty long at over 7000 yds from the tips. My only complaint about the condition of the course was the fairways, they needed a bit more attention. Where the fairways lacked the greens made up, they were very receptive and had great speed. You can tell it doesn't get a lot of traffic but is worth the drive for the price.

Fun with elevation

After playing many Houston courses with little undulation, Wedgewood was a breath of fresh air. From the first hole to the last, this course will keep you guessing on where to hit your tee shot. Some of the greens were pretty tough to read, but made it more fun than 2" left or right? Some of the course was in need of attention, but it was the first week of march and conditions were pretty dry. Overall, this was a fun course to play with a lot to see. I will definitely be returning.
