Heron Creek Golf and Country Club - Oaks/Marsh Course
Played On 06/30/2022Aeration
No mention of course beingnaerated. No mention of cart path only. And price for a summer after 12pm round was o e of the highest inbthe area.
They should've mentioned it somewhere before I made the drive 45 minutes. The pro shop should've said something about conditions.
And the range was closed.
Just very disappointing.

all tee boxes were being rebuilt I assume. Placed tees into grass, where it was not flat nor short. Bunkers were good. Greens were in so so shape.

Played On 08/27/2019Not too penalizing
Tee boxes were in great shape. Fairways were nice. Rough was kinda harsh, as ball would be just a yard or two off fairway, but disappear into the rough. The fairways are very wide and friendly.
The greens were great, even though recently punched, they still rolled nice..
Greens are also pretty large.
Overall, the only thing that would've been welcomed was some quick tips for reach hole (ie dog leg is how much, etc).
Only a couple errant shots which I would attribute to just not knowing a particular bit of detail on the layout.
Will definitely go again.

From tee to green course was in great shape. Greens rolled true. Was done in 3 hours with our 4some
Pelican/Osprey at Burnt Store Marina Country Club
Played On 01/06/2019Short course, no yardage books or hazard outlines
First time playing course, alot of the holes need an outline of what is out there. No descriptions.
The pace of play was really bad even for an executive course

I took an afternoon to play this course, as I was in the area, and wanted to check this course out. The greens rolled pretty good (11-12) and the tees and fairways were in excellent shape. It was a bit breezy, so it was a bit challenging to hit some of the fairways; as there are quite a few shots from the tee where you cannot see what's ahead.
They do not have a GPS cart, and walking is not an option.
I would have given this course my highest ratings with two exceptions ...
The price was a bit much for a week-day. There was very few golfers on the course. Sunny, but windy.
The second reason (and please note the first is related) is that we were about to tee off on one (I played in a 2-some). And the starter let 4 golfers tee-off ahead ... not a big deal, they were finishing up something, and they were out of there on the 1st hole. But, still, we had to wait 10-15 minutes for them to clear the fairway.
So, we started 10-15 minutes late. Again, no problem. There is no-one behind us, and we did't see anyone ahead of us at all. We are come to the tee box on the 5th or 6th hole I believe ( a 180'ish par 3 over water). There is a ranger there; and he makes it a point to tell me we are 5 minutes behind .. .speed it up. To which I replied .. I am with one of your members, and we were talking alot about the course (I didnt mention that hey .. we are actually 10 minutes AHEAD). So .. I want to be nice .. so I rush up to the teebox and go. Then get on the green, and go. Then pickup a 3 foot put, and go. And now rush to the next and next. 3 holes, and I am rushing around a course that is charing 90$ to play it .. with noone around, and I am not enjoying myself. I asked my playing partner .. hey .. I am going to slow down .. this is not enjoyable; and he agrees.
So .. that one situation kind of bothered me. We we holding nothing and no-one up, and we were ahead of schedule and he tells me on the tee-box, not on the green (which I feel would have been more prudent and respectful).
Anyways .. I am planning on going back .. just put a mar on the course for.

Course was very wet, but the layout was ggod and the greens above average.
Morgan Hill Golf Course
Played On 07/16/2015Great day
I enjoyed the scenic holes, and very well kept course. The greens were a little too undulating for my liking, but rolled true.
Having been the first time for me at this course, there were a few blind shots that left my wondering what was the proper landing yardages, but all in all was a very nice day out.

Played On 05/19/2014Great condition
The overall condition of the course was great. Bunkers were nicely kept and soft sand. Fairways were good, and the first cuts werent too harsh.
If you make a decent shot off the tee, you were rewarded, if not you were penalized. Lots of trees, and other miscellaneous hazards (water, ravines, collection areas, etc).
I had a great time playing, and would recommend this course to anyone.
Landis Creek Golf Club
Played On 05/12/2014Bumpy
My biggest issue was with the fairways. They were basically about 1-2" high grass, and very bumpy.
The pace of play was really good however ... noone pushing us, and we werent pushing anyone. We we out about 12:30pm.
Surprisingly, the bunkers were relatively decent (not hard dirt as I was expecting).
Overall, decent for the price.

Played On 8/15/2013Green needed fixing
A few of the greens were in bad shape, especially #6, par 3 ...
The hole location was placed in a part of the green which clearly was in bad shape. I dont know why they would put that hole placement there, given the bad shape of that part of the green .. and obviously, that part of the green needs to be fixed.
Overall, was a fun course. The cafe closed before 7pm, which was disappointing as my 4-some was looking to enjoy a beer or two after the round.
Bella Vista Golf Course
Played On 7/11/2013Nice layout, trouble areas relatively easy to avoid
I played an afternoon round (3pm) and was done before 7pm. The greens were a little slow and bumpy, but that was to be expected with the recent rains.
There was a few spots on the fairways which did not drain well, and the fairways were very soft.
All in all, a great place to play. The grille afterwards have some friendly folks and good food.
