Cascata
Played On 11/25/2015You won't be disappointed
Cascata is a must play when you are in the Vegas area. You will be impressed from the time you enter the iron gates and the Clubhouse comes into view, right through the practice area and on to the stunning golf course. The friendliness of ALL of the staff is second to none. I was part of a group and the only reason that I gave them a 4 star on food and beverage is that the buffet breakfast provided was not as good as the other courses we played at. Other than that, it is a full 5 star experience and you won't be disappointed. One valuable comment on the course....Pay close attention to the reads that you get from the caddy or you will have a VERY LONG day putting!!! Our caddy saved us multiple strokes with his ability to advise on slope, speed and breaks. The day we played the temp was 54 F and the winds were gusting to 35-40 MPH so that added an element of difficulty but if you play the proper tees for your ability you can still shoot a decent score.
DragonRidge Golf Course
Played On 11/23/2015Spectacular course
Played Dragon Ridge as part of a group and it is a first class facility through and through. Everyone at the course is friendly and helpful. Stunning views of Las Vegas from most holes and the course was in fabulous condition. You would not get tired of playing this course on a daily basis. Lots of room off the tee and elevation plays a part in club selection. Greens were rolling smooth and true and a well struck putt had a chance to go in. If you get the opportunity to play this private course make sure you jump at the chance to tee it up there.
South at Boulders Golf Club & Resort
Played On 05/20/2015Extremely Scenic
We played the back 9 on the North and the front 9 on the South. Greens on the North were excellent but unfortunately the greens on the South had been aerated and sanded, but hey, golf courses need maintenance too and they actually were not too bad to putt on. I would say the South is more scenic as you play amongst the incredible boulder formations (hence the name) that really leave you wondering how they came to be. The staff are super friendly and helpful and it doesn't hurt to play this course in the off season for very reasonable rates ($59.) Scoring opportunities are out there if you place your shots in the correct places and a good score can be had. We had a very enjoyable round/day at Boulders.
