I was a member at this course for 10 years, when it first opened. I"ve played this course hundreds of times and still enjoy playing it. South Hampton is friendly tract, with the biggest challenge being the greens. A fun tract to play anytime.

My partner and I ( both in our 70's ) played the senior tees ( 5400 yds. ) and the course was manageable. The greens are undilated and fast, the fairways adequate, and the rough playable. The Hot Deal from Golf Now made the round reasonable ( $33 per player ). Had a great time and they had a cart girl during the week, rare.

Since some homeowners have taken over the course, it's really been improved upon.Every time I play there, another improvement has been made. The course, the lakes and ponds, the fringes, and the greens are the best i've seen in 30 years of playing there. The only reason I say the course is extremely challenging, is because there is water in play on every hole, sometimes more than once on the same hole. It's a lovely course, well worth playing. Just hit it straight and you can score. Enjoy !

With all the rain we rain we've had, the was plush, the green were excellent (except a couple with bare spots).The greens were speedy, but receptive. There was only a couple of holes that had wet spots from all the rain. Overall the course was in excellent shape, have a good round. Also being a senior, I glad they have 6 different tees, one for every range of golfer. Enjoy.

The practice area and putting green are under reconstruction, with sprinklers going full blast. It may only bother you on the first hole, if the wind is blowing toward you. The course is in great condition, especially the greens. They are pretty smooth considering the play they get, and they are faster than you're prepared for. It's a fair and fun course to play. enjoy......

Tees and fairways were playable, greens were good. Course has a lot of tree trouble, and enough water to challenge you.

Played this course many times. One of the best tracts around Jacksonville. Good for any playing level, many different holes. Have fun, play South Hampton.

The course is better than a year ago, but still needs lots of work. The grass on the tees is sparse, the fairways are also lacking grass, but there's enough if you roll the ball anyway. The greens were in pretty nice shape. They putted true, but a little slow. There wasn't any bar food for golfers at the turn, or before you went out. There's a very nice restaurant if you want to sit down and eat. There was no cart girl, so no drinks or snacks on the course. We were allowed to carry our own out on the course. Hopefully, in the near future, they'll cater to golfers, like they do to lunch patrons.

Course was in great shape. Lots of sand, some water in play, elevated and undulating greens make scoring difficult. Fairways are generous, if you are driving it well, otherwise, there's a bunker waiting for for your ball. For an intermediate golfer, the white tees are all you need to challenge yourself. You will like the course. FORE !

Lunch ( good fish & chips ), 2 draft beers, 18 holes of golf with cart, for $36.00, on a wonderful golf course is almost impossible to beat. The sky was overcast all day, which was good. The fairways were good and the greens were perfect. Medium speed, which I perfer. The bunkers were a little firm from all the rain we've had in the area. I will go back, SOON !

The layout is varied and interesting. The course is in great shape. The fairways and the greens are plush, but the greens were slow as molasses. You had to really hit the ball to get it to the hole.

Not a boring golf course. A fair amount of water, but generous greens.

I've played this course hundreds of times and it still holds
my attention. One of the best layouts in Jacksonville. Greens are back in great shape. They are a little slow, but I like slower
greens. Don't forget ; water, water everywhere and plenty to drink. Bring your "A" Game or a dozen balls. Lots of fun.

This is one of the top courses in the Jax., Fl. area. It's always
kept in great shape. Has fast, undulating greens, narrow fairways, and lots of sand and water. But, with 5 sets of tees,
you can find one that's comfortable for you. I'm 71 yrs. old, so
I usually play the senior ( gray ) tees @ about 6000 yrds. When
I feel real froggy, I play the regular ( white ) tees @ about 6500
yrds. The white tees will test most golfers ability. Also, they
usually have one the Sam Adams Specialty beers on draft. Have fun ! Play golf ! FORE !!

Great combination of short and long holes; right and left
doglegs; and fast, breaking greens. Plenty of driving room,
with a premium on approach shots. Lots of fun to play.
