Heritage Harbour Golf Club
Played On 11/23/2022Great Renovation
The course changes at Heritage Harbour are really good. The new routing integrates some new pathways that are still in progress, but the course work is complete. New turf is 90% grown in, course encourages playing thinner turf areas as GUR with free relief. Considering the summer rains and back to back hurricanes in Sept and Nov. the place is way ahead of the curve and will only get better as weeks progress.

Played On 02/05/2022Winter Time Golf
I haven't played Heritage Harbour since December and in December it was as good as i had seen it in years. Of course we had 20 days with temps in the 80"s so grass was still thriving. After reading some recent reviews that were very negative i decided to go see how things were. Being an experienced player i understand what impact lots of play and colder January and February temperatures has on Florida courses. Plus the last three days of January we saw three hard frosts. Frost causes the turf to immediately go off color yellow / gold. It is NOT dead or dry. It is Frost Burn and doesn't really recover until temperatures get back into 70's /80"s by day and night time temps hold above 60. The greens are some of the fastest and smoothest in town, of course i played before 8:30 and the course was sold out thru 2:30, so if someone played later in the day then yes, there are likely bunch of unrepaired ball marks and foot traffic around the hole. The greens have great color. Tee boxes are also holding up fairly well considering 200+ rounds a day. The weakest tee boxes are the white and silver tees for Men/Seniors. They likely get 90% of the play this time of year, Fairways are NOT dirt as many reviewers attest. They are dormant and carry the yellow green tint throughout the course. Rough is plush but is Frost burned and yellow/Gold in color. There are some very weak / thin areas in fairways that present tight lies, but golfers should be playing WINTER Rules and move the ball to an area with better grass. The bunkers are Old and need repair, but they are Hazards and players should expect them to not be easy up and downs. In the lobby of the Clubhouse hangs the images of the course upcoming summer 2022 renovation project. The plans to rejuvenate this gem are in place and people that are playing today can expect a totally fresh experience in the Fall of 2022 and beyond. From my perspective, the ones providing 1 star negative reviews, don't understand Winter Golf in Florida. December January and February they should expect some dormant grass and lots of play creates wear and traffic from carts doesn't help. Staff is amazing from Cart guys to Restaurant and Outdoor Patio. Best in town !!! As for Price, other course are getting well over $100 in the area right now and Heritage Harbour is not gouging anyone, very fair pricing with value options early bird and afternoon.

After reading some recent reviews i was hesitant, but so glad i booked and played here. Great Arthur Hills design. If it was looking dried out a couple of weeks ago as the reviews suggested, it is really greening up now. I saw the superintendent and he mentioned they has just dropped 10 tons of fertilizer about 10 days ago and boy it is showing. Fairways are really showing signs of coming to life. it helps that we had several days in the 80's in March. The greens are rolling nice, a few of them are showing some winter stress but overall they too are really popping with color. The bunkers do need work and super said a renovation is being planned for next summer, now they are so-so. Super was also spraying out a lot of spring weeds, he said they have been attacking it daily and the progress shows. New super started about 7 weeks ago and he sure seems passionate. This place will be on my summer list for sure. Great value, super food, cold beer, and friendly service. Pictures are from today.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. Heritage Harbour Golf Club thanks you!

Played On 02/07/2021Solid Layout - Great Service
Prior to booking our tee time i was a bit concerned with some negative reviews on course conditions. The price was good so we decided to give it a try. Considering the cold weather lately, the course is not as bad as some have mentioned. Fairways are firm and fast, the ball rolls to give players some added distance on tee shots. Greens are in very good condition and roll fast and true. A few greens have some struggling areas but in the scope not horrible. The turf conditions in general are typical for January / February with an off color green yellow hue that should green up as temperatures rise. Photosynthesis is real. The course architecture is fantastic and the course is challenging for all levels of players. Yes, it does need some TLC and it appears that is around the corner with hotter weather and some renovation plans that are displayed in the clubhouse lobby. Overall, the location, quality, price and experience is well worth the current daily fee rates being charged.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome any feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Heritage Harbour Golf Club.

Have played here before and pleased every time. Staff is friendly and courteous. Tuesday they were really busy. We played around Noon. We waited a few minutes for our golf cart because the AM was packed. Easy walk to the range and putting green allowed us to make good use of our time prior to our tee time. Considering it is February and all the SnowBirds are in town, courses are certainly busy and vibrant. No chance to play up North so enjoy the sunshine and golf. This layout is really good and conditions continue to improve, greens rolling sweet. Fairways are firm and fast so you get some roll off the tee. Some bunkers better than others, but you can see they have improved several on the front nine, seems like they are systematically making improvements. For the money with yummy lunch and a beer, best deal in town .

Golf Course is 1000% improved in the last 30 days. Locally we got pounded by rain in July and August so courses were soaked and messy. The crew at Heritage Harbour has stepped up their game big time. Pro Shop staff mentioned they have a new Golf Course Superintendent that came from Naples Bonita Springs area and started September 1st. With little to no rain this month they have mowed everything out and greens are rolling fast and true. Fairways have great definition and rough is not to penal. You can tell they are aggressively attacking some nuisance grasses that came with all the rains this summer. Bunkers are also getting attention, saw a crew re-working lips and faces on two holes today. You can tell this new guy is gettin' it done !! Lunch after the round was amazing and was Free with my fee. Best value in town by far !!
