Cypress Landing Golf Course is the best course in the area in terms of course upkeep, friendly staff, and the selections of food in their grill.

The course is moderately difficult and the par 3, 15th hole overlooking Chocowinity Bay is a picture-taking moment.

The fairways, traps, and greens were in excellent shape as were most of the tee boxes (a few needed some TLC).

As I said above, this is a great course to play, except on Fridays when a group of 20 men begin teeing off at 11:00. If you are playing alone or with a partner, you will meet the last of the 5 foursomes pretty quickly.

I suggest that you not play on a Friday unless you are in a foursome, or like to wait.

What a pleasure it was to play Washington Y&CC again. We played on a Saturday. The weather was perfect. There was no one ahead of us to slow us down, and no one behind to push us. The Bentgrass greens were in great shape--the best Bentgrass greens I've played on in this area. The fairways, for the most part, were also in great shape. Because of the recent rain, the traps needed some raking to fluff them up. I keep coming back to the course because it is well maintained, it is not crowded, and it challenges me.

My partner and I had a 12:08 tee time on 5/3/22, a Tuesday.

No one ahead of us or behind us for the entire 18 holes. We were in golf heaven.

Greens and traps were in great shape. The fairways are greening up. Several of the tee boxes needed mowing.

The Bentgrass greens and traps were in great shape. And the Bermudagrass fairways are greening up.

Great course to play. It has some very interesting holes to test your ability.

My partner and I played on Friday, 4/15. Tee time was 1:12, I believe. The weather was perfect and that, and Easter weekend brought out the golfers. We were backed up on the first tee. After that, the pace of play was average. We finished in 5 hours.

Greens and traps were in great shape. Fairways are starting to green up.

What a pleasure it was to play Washington Y&CC again.

We played on a Wednesday. The weather was perfect. And there was no one ahead of us to slow us down, and no one behind us pushing us. Golfing doesn't get any better than that.

The greens and traps were in outstanding shape. The fairways were in good shape although not lush yet because it is only mid-April; I sure that will change as the weather warms up.

The Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane in Woodbridge, CT is an outstanding course and I look forward to playing it again in the future. The course uses the hilly terrain to create many challenging, but not overwhelmingly difficult, holes. What a pleasant change from playing on a basically flat course.

The course has bent grass greens. With the exception of two that were slightly stressed from the summer heat, the other 16 were in great shape--as were all the fairways.

Challenging, yet fun to play. Lots of variety in their holes (e.g., normal left and right doglegs, some water holes, and fairways with uphill, side hill, down hill slopes).
