Walked in the pro shop 30 minutes before our tee time. There was a line of 16 golfers who were already late for their tee time. Pro shop sent the 16 golfers to the starter when they were already late for the TWO tee times they had. You heard me right - 16 golfers and only 2 tee times. The poor starter was now stuck with this mess because the pro shop wouldn’t. The starter sent the 2 additional groups out backing up our tee time. The group was incredibly slow yet no ranger to move them along. Poor management from the pro shop and throughout the course.

I’ve played here several times and always loved the quick and true greens at the course. The last couple of weeks the greens are no longer quick and are in fact bumpy. Perhaps they are letting them grow out so they’re better in the spring.

Greens are still suffering from a fungus. Many, many bare spots on the greens. With the greens the way they are it’s not worth the money.

The round didn’t start off well. Starter was nasty and rude. Course didn’t hay enough carts to allow you to load up 30 min before your round. You had to wait for carts to finish the earlier rounds. Starter was not pleasant and acted as if we were bothering him to get a cart to load up and go to the range. The round took over 4:45 and there wasn’t a ranger to be seen.

This course always has fast greens but they are beyond fast now.. The greens dont have much grass to slow the ball down. In addition they were aerated yesterday.

Greens are fast but not in as good condition as they had been. It appears there may have been ponding during the rain on some of the greens that caused some rough spots.

Love the course but pace of play was slow. Ranger was clueless and failed to push the slow group. At one point there were four groups on one hole. The ranger needs to find another way to get free golf because this job isn’t for him.

We had a group in front of us stop at the cart girl and each of the foursome bought a 6 pack of beer. We waited on the tee box while the foursome got their beer at the tee box after hitting their tee shots. The ranger sat and watched this, saying nothing to the group as we waited for the foursome to take their time to put their beer away and then go to hit their tee shots. All this with a hole open in front of them. The ranger should be fired!

Booked the course knowing that the greens were just aerated but was not informed at booking that we needed to play the front 9 twice because they were still aerating the back 9 holes. Wasn’t told this until we arrived at the Pro Shop.The cost to play this format was not reduced.

Played South Hampton on a weekend at 10am and expected a slow round. To my surprise pace was excellent . Course was in great shape. Greens are in good shape and much better than they were earlier in the y ear.. kudos to the superintendent.

Greens were recently aerated, but are still fast. The pace of play was slow. Only saw the ranger on the 6th hole who said he informed the foursome two groups up to pick up the pace. Well, we never saw the ranger again and the foursome continued their slow play.
