It's hard to fairly rate this course, because the conditions were terrible. Most of the grass on the course was dead. The course layout was nice and the maintenance of the course (aside from the dead grass) was good. I could have easily rated the course 4-5 if there was live grass. I was very much looking forward to playing this course, but was very disappointed. I'm willing to give it another try in a year or so. It seems like it will take at least that long to get the course back in shape.

I hated this course the first few times I played as a beginner, but now that I am more experienced, I appreciate the great value of this challenging but fair course. It can be "easy" if you keep it in play, but the thick rough is penalizing and the greens are quick and undulating. Lots of elevation changes and the rolling farm views are gorgeous. If you want to challenge your skills, but not pay too much to get beat up, this is the course. It's always in great shape, one of my nearby favorites.
