Woodlands Links Golf Course
Played On 07/30/2022Solid track
Staff reception was positive. Was allowed to go ahead of a couple of groups early, which made for a swift paced 3 hr round. Course has a variety of holes, some easy and some are tough. Greens in good shape, not too slow. The only issue are the gnats, they are bothersome near the wooded areas of the course and it was windy yesterday. The locals seem used to them.
The Ridge at Manitou Golf Club

I read the reviews, and it is true that the course is in rough shape compared to previous years. We were paired with a local, and he gave us the back story. They don't tell you what you are in for, which I think is a poor business stategy. We got a good deal, I wouldn't pay the asking price right now. The bones of the course are still there, and you can tell they are trying to get it back, but it won't happen until next year. If you can get past this and accept the conditions, it can be enjoyable, if not, I would wait until next season to play.

Played On 07/22/2020Other than some of the greens having some damage the course is in good shape. The people were great, fun time today.

Sometimes when you use a Hot Deal, the golf course people can be obnoxious about your using of Golf Now. For such a high end course, in an affluent area; the people at the Rock were very accommodating and friendly. We just happened to stumble upon a phenomenal deal, and the course was well worth the hour drive to get there. The course was in great shape, greens rolled true and quick (but not crazy on the stimpmeter). Be warned though, that it is a tough track that requires good shots and playing from the right set of tees. A couple of holes are a bit quirky, but overall it is very fun to play.
Sutton Creek Golf and Country Club
Played On 07/18/2015Disappointed
I must preface my review with I normally enjoy Sutton Creek. It is a nice track, interesting layout...a shot makers course.
However, my round yesterday was not that at all. Unusually slow greens (not the norm) was the straw that broke the camels back. Even a discounted rate wasn't enough of being put on a course after a small scramble tourney with a lot of reckless and intoxicated people that don't comprehend simple etiquette (no marshall presence). A 5.5 hour round in 90° heat took any joy of playing golf on this day.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. However, we're sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
