The Country Club of Arkansas
Played On 04/25/2020Enjoyable Course
I’ve always enjoyed playing this course. Pace of play can sometimes be a bit slow but generally it’s not too bad. It can be a bit slow to drain in spots but again, nothing to complain about. The staff ... always quite friendly!. I really appreciate how they’ve set up to facilitate safety and social distancing during this pandemic!
Very appreciative and will continue to play!

The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 10/09/2018Definitely Recommend
My front 9 was ‘Roadrunner’ and the back was ’Cayote’. Roadrunner, I would categorize as “target golf”. Because it was my first time playing the course, I had no idea where I was going and some of the holes, you could barely see the landing areas. The 1st hole was a nice Par 3 ... but I could see the landing area. After that, a few of the holes, I had to drive to plan my shots. Seeing the target areas was difficult and there were no pictures or layout diagrams. With no course knowledge and no one with who could help, I experienced a bit of frustration. The 2nd 9 ... Cayote, was awesome. They had recently over seeded the course so it was Cart Path Only ... and a couple of the fairways were being worked on.
I would definitely recommend the course and I will definitely play it again.
Beaver Brook Country Club
Played On 10/11/2012Beautiful and Challenging - Especially in the Fall
The tee boxes were being worked on but the course was still in great shape. Very beautiful with colorful leaves but full of trees - meaning a bit tight on some holes.
The only thing that made the day somewhat less enjoyable than it otherwise might have been is putting on the greens. I have no problems with fast greens as long as they're true and fair. Some of the pin locations were challenging but on top of that, I had one putt that after being left short, rolled backwards - off the green. That to me is a bit unfair and extreme!
