Great course

Such a fantastic layout. Two different conditions (rolling hills and river valley) on one great course. Greens are smooth and true

We're glad you enjoyed the course layout as well as the greens! Be sure to book another tee time soon.

Good resort course

Good layout, great condition of the course. Wide fairways and relatively large greens. A good score can be had here. So in other words, it was a very enjoyable course, but a bit of a "resort course" feel, aimed to have you like it by shooting a low score (which I did by personal standards). On the other hand, this course could be enjoyed by both low or high handicap golfers.

Spectacular

Course was in immaculate condition. It had rained the night before, so they enforced cart path only which slowed down play. The course layout is really stunningly beautiful--lives up to the hype . Quite penal if you are off the fairways, but they are generous sized. Beginner golfers would probably get frustrated and not enjoy it as much, because you will lose a lot of balls and/or spend a lot of time looking for balls. For intermediate or advanced golfers, it is a fun challenge on a unique and beautiful golf that is classic desert, target golf.

Middle of the pack

Course was in good condition. Greens were slower than most we played in Scottsdale. Course has good bunkering and is a good layout, though not spectacular. We teed off around 2 pm, and didn't have many players around us.

Good layout, overworn greens

Good layout with a mix of holes. Actually a good score could be had, although the one day I played was unseasonably windy (30 mph), which definitely effected the scoring. Tees and fairways were in very good shape. Many of of the "native" areas which are supposed to be like firm sand traps, we're in fact more like concrete--so I didn't want to ruin my clubs on them. The biggest disappointment was the bent grass greens--really looked worn from the very heavy play it apparantly gets. Clubhouse staff behaved more like a muni staff rather than an upscale club staff, and ultimately that is what this course seems like--an expensive public course with average service. Worth it if you get a Reasonable deal--wouldn't pay full price
