Helen's bay golf course

Absolutely fantastic course. Super greens and fairways s pleaser to hit and putt on. Tee boxs in excellent condition, and with only being s nine holes the tees were varied. Lovely views over the Lough and Helen's bay. No par 5s, club house vary dated and needs refurbished. Layout was good. Never got lost. Not a difficult course but with small fast greens you got to make sure your short game is on song. Very few on course amenities just a putting green, would need a driving net, etc. All in all an excellent experience and I will certainly be back.

Second time playing this course and score probably my best score in 2019. But card machine wasn't working in club house and we weren't told about temporary tees or greens. But other than that had an enjoyable day and will deffo be back in the spring time. Tee boxs looked great. Fairways played well with a few areas of standing water. Greens were rock hard but once you got the pace locked down they weren't to bad. Next to none ofcourse amenities. Which dropped my score. But all in all s good day out and my score reflected the conditions more than anything else. Back nine needs better signage for ease of access between holes.

Castlerock GC bann course

Fantastic day out. Really enjoyed this course. First impressions was good, good big car park with large putting green, short range and chipping area. The tee boxs and greens were very well maintained as were the fairways which were lovely to hit off. I loved the tightness to the fairways which just added to the challenge. I only Hit driver twice all day which I enjoyed as each hole asked a different question from me. Value was good compared to other cheap course in the area. No bunkers, but this didn't hinder my enjoyment, the course was tough enough.
My only issue was that the shop assistant was not very friendly or helpfull. I had to ask where to go and were the range was and if I could buy range balls but very reluctant to help. Didn't dampen my experience but just a side note.
Great days golf, will be back soon, and will love to play the larger course at some stage.

Great play and meal deal on GN. Had a driving range to warm up on and a short game area that has been neglected for some time. Fairways were excellent to play of considering the amount of rain that fell over the past few days. Green were in good condition and ran well. Tee boxs were not level even the slightest which made teeing off more difficult than it should be, but that was really the only major complaint. The meal afterwards was great with a pint. Well recommend this to others.

I finally got another chance to play this course in better weather. So I invited my friend to join me and told him he was in for a treat.

That was not the case. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were scorched from the good weather we had. To be fair as I was booking this, the app said that the greens were not up to normal standard, as did the pro in the shop. This kind of prepared us but not for the complete lack of grass on most of the greens. Some of which were completely unplayable but most were ok.

Fairways were fine with some vary bare lies. There was plenty of run and it's always nice to hit of a dry fairway. Bunkers looked unmaintained and Abit shabby for a course of this standard.

We both payed 19.50 for this course and I can see why it's a £20 course. Long testing par 4/5s that really force you to hit straight of the tee or you are in the rough stuff. Par threes were testing Aswel. There had finally put a few next hole markers but not enough around the 9th to 10th holes, We both ended up driving off the 18th instead of the 9th.

Considering the conditions we had an enjoyable time and still recommend playing this course but not after a drought. I will try and get back for a third time to play in more ideal conditions.

Great amenities putting/pitching and driving range. All be it scorched.

Spectacular!! A wonderful days golf. Had a balls up with my booking and pro was super helpful and sorted me out. There was alot of work going on as the open is next year but never stopped us from having a fantastic day out. Had to hit of matts on fairways which wasn't good and I feel totally unnecessary with it being a links. Tee box's, fairways and greens in great shape. Greens were very quick as expected. There was a few changes in the hole lay outs but other than a temporary green on the 15 th you wouldn't notice the changes. Facilities were average considering this course is part of royal portrush. I would like to see the royal being extended to this course but not effect the price which was super at £20. Will Deffo b back in the summer.

Wonderful experience on a bollock frozen day. Club pro was helpful and was able to get me put in with a three ball on a very busy saturday morning. Played from the sixth - eighteenth then I had the option to play the first - fith, which I did. The links holes were excellent. Wind was strong enough to push you around but Never really felt I was gonna get punished for a bad shot and never ran up big numbers. Unless I duffed or thinned. Fairways were bone dry. And greens were quick and true. But I needed to work hard on the greens as there were alot of difficult pin positions. The last five holes, 1st-5th were very good parkland holes with a few damp spots but mostly dry and playable. if you play with your head and not your heart your going to have a great day. Very few off course amenities. Ok changing facilities but small putting green with no hole markers and only a net to practice in. Better than nothing but A club of that stature needs better practice facilities. All in all had a great day at a great price. Some beautiful holes and superb scenery. Some lovely elevated tee shots on par threes and blind tees that need you to think. Even if you get a reasonably good day, your in for a treat.

What an experience. First impression was great the views were breath taking. Club looked alittle dated. Pro shop was well stocked. The first hole was a treat to play. This would have been the most difficult course iv played since I began playing if the temporary tees weren't in use. Tight gorse, elevated tees and greens there was hardly any flat parts to the fairways. So alot of ball above and below feet. I gave up on the driver after loosing my 4th ball. A real test for your golf game. Friendly members showed us about. And I loved that every hole was different and asked many questions of my abilities. I will be back in spring and hope the greens will be open. Tee boxes and fairways well mentained. Reasonably dry compared to amount of frost and rain. But we'll worth it. But get a buggy!!!!

Fantastic day out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Club house looked a little dated as did the changing rooms. But it was dry warm and clean. Course played well considering the conditions and I was always told that the drainage is second to none I was not disappointed. A few damp spots but I was aloud to to pick and place. Tee box's were in good condition but could b abit flatter in places. Fairways nice to hit off and the greens which hadn't been spiked were great and ran very true. Putting area was closed and there was no practice area near the club, I was required to walk across a busy road for that facility. All in all a great day out and I will be back next summer. A difficult course as most holes were tight but when I missed I was able to recover my ball. Think I only lost one.

Always wanted to play massereene so when GN had it on for £16 I jumped at the chance, as I was never paying £35 for a round. Great first impression went straight out on to the chipping green, driving net and putting green. Not many courses have all three areas to warm up on so close together. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rented a cart which had plenty of batt life and got us round before it got dark. Tee box's were in great condition considering the rain we had, I loved that thy were mostly flat and level. Fairways were in ok condition, some standing water so had a few plugged balls to deal with. But if the short stuff was found it was usually pleasent to hit off. Rough was deadly to get out of especially in the wet, could do with a few mm off to help in those conditions. Greens were very soft but still ran well and true. Although 2 greens had a lot debris on them which hindered putts. The last 4 holes were my favourite. Great experience, will be back but will not pay the asking price!!! Great amenities, club house looked fantastic. Would consider membership, but £££££ don't help.

What an experience, club looked fantastic. Staff were helpful in showing me to the practice areas, toilets and first tee. I knew I was playing a nine hole course so I wasn't expecting anything fancy. But what a surprise, the first was a monster par 4 of the back tees. Tee box's were in good condition and level. Fairways were in good condition with a few damp spots but very tight so accuracy is essential. Every hole was unique and a challenge. Especially the par 3 over trees. Altogether a wonderful round of golf. Will certainly recommend and will be back to play again although the pro said it was cheaper to ring up than it was on the golf now app. And directions to the next hole would be great and numbers at the tee box's would be great.

First impressions very good. Lovely looking club house. Used the putting, chipping and driving nets which was nice to warm up with. Tee boxs were very uneven and lumpy but fairways in very good condition and we're like hitting of lush carpet considering the rain but there where some areas of bad ground. Greens were excellent, they ran so true and we're a pleasure to putt on. The variation of holes was great. I have heard members of this club all very snobby but I never felt this while I was there so I would truly recommend the course to anyone. But avoid playing in the winter.

What a round of golf. Totally loved my first experience of galgorm. Was tough yet I felt I played a decent round. Tee box's where like greens, fairways like carpet considering the rain we had and the greens ran fast and true, and a hotdogs on the 10th went don't a treat. I will most certainly be back if on golf now again. my buddy and i got paired with another two ball for the first time and it just added to the experience. Wonderful day.

My first experience of this club was like stepping back in time. The club house looked run down and I had to pay via placing my money in an envelope and putting it into a box. Not good first impressions. Once I got my bearings and found a score card, no thanks to the lack of staff, I had a very enjoyable round of golf. All the holes had something to offer. It wasn't the most difficult course iv every played but a good test. The final three holes where outstanding. I was looking forward to head round again just to play those three. But was hulted by a group of ladies who wouldn't let me play through as they said they had preference which I was not made aware of, so I skipped playing the first. But a very enjoyable days golfing. With a modernised club house and upto date facilities this club could be a fantastic course to play and be a member of.

hilton templepatrick golf course

First time at this course. Heard a lot of good things about it. And I wasn't disappointed. The weather was terrible and had rained for about three days non stop. But tee box's where in surprisingly good condition as where the fairways. There was a lot of standing water on the fairways but considering the conditions it was understandable, but they were firm enough underfoot and when striking the ball. Greens where excellent and ran very true and surprisingly quick. The water hazards were tricky but fun to deal with. I had to really think about my next shot. Down side thete where no tee box numbers telling me which hole I was on. I had to look at my scorecard map to get my bearings. Excellent day out will be back in the better weather
