The starter was a pushy old RichardNoggin. I got there an hour early and was going to the driving range and this guy was literally screaming at me to check in with him. The tee boxes had so much overgrown crabgrass, that you couldn't tee up within the rules. As you came off the tee box, you had to tap your shoes with your club to knock off the sand from all the bare spots (the spots the crabgrass didn't grow over). Fairways were about the same; very weedy and the grass was in serious need of a mowing. The greens were decent, but needed a mowing as well. This was a 30 buck round on a 10 buck course. Forget it, pay 10 bucks more and go play one of the courses around town that care about us locals in the summertime.

Took my wife and kid to this one. Both are beginners and we had a great time because the course offered all three of us a different challenge. My challenge was to hit straight tee shots, and hit approach shots crisp. My wife and son were challenged with making pars. We all met our challenges fairly well! I only lost 1 ball :) and my playing partners wracked up 13 pars between the two of them. The folks here are great people, and the course was in great shape! Someone said the tee boxes were sandy, but I didn't experience that. The rough was perfect, it was long and balls would sit down in them to punish you for a missed shot. The bermuda rough around the greens made you dig a ball out and make you consider that your ball would not check from its lie. Great challenge. The greens were full with no bare spots, but a wee bit fuzzy so the roll wasn't quite true. It was great for my wife and son, but I would prefer to see the greens get a mow and a roll to make them a bit tighter. That wouldn't keep me from coming back again though, which I fully intend to do again soon when my wife and kid need another lesson. :D

Course was in nice shape. Greens were well groomed. It has been raining quite about so it was a clean and place day. Greens appeared to be in excellent shape and probably pretty puttable on a drier day. Enjoyed the course, not challenging, but will allow you to relaz and concentrate on hitting the ball well. I will be back to use this course as a "honing in" course.

This spot is great for me and my wife, or me and my 11 year old son. We love the views, the layouts and the people who run it.

Took my wife to this course for the beauty of the lay-out and the ease of the course. She loved it, and it was a nice way for the two of us, me a moderate golfer and her a beginner, to enjoy an afternoon on the links together. Great time!

I really enjoyed the lay out of this track. It's a fairly easy course to get around with no real challenging obstacles, but was still a great course to play. The greens ran very true and were decent paced. The layout was interesting and made you plan your shots instead of just stepping up and swinging away. I will play this one more than once to be sure.

Great course for sharpening your pitch and chips. Tiny little greens require excellent iron shots, or great chips in order to get up and down.

The starter was the only good staff member I met on this course. The ranger was rude; I had hit my tee shot to the middle of the fairway while my partner hit a little left into the rough. As I was addressing my ball, the ranger comes riding up behind me and starts yelling at my partner to hurry up. We were on pace, we were never not on pace, and I was in set up. The group in front of us had just come off the green. A couple of holes later, we are on the tee box, two of us have hit, and two are preparing to hit their drives when the mowing crew comes right down our fairway and towards us, not allowing our foursome to continue until they mowed. I approached the employee after everyone hit about moving off the fairway until we passed, he shrugged and informed me "they were working". Unreal. Anyway, its a shame the course is so nice, because it makes me want to play it again, but I am not sure its worth dealing with a bunch of arrogant county employees that could care less about customer service. I hope your experience is better than mine.

I made the mistake of thinking I could hit through the hazards.....no. This course is NOT about distance, its about management and planning your shots! Had a blast.! I will be back and in a better frame of mind

Some courses you forget about distance and concentrate on placement, other courses the fairways are wide and long. This one? Narrow, long, and punishment up both sides if your shots weren't accurate! We had sporadic rain that interrupted us to some degree on 14 of 18 holes. That was the only bad part of the experience. I will be back on a sunny day to challenge this course again!

Showed up, chatted with the friendliest fellow behind the counter in the pro shop, was warned to concern myself with targets, was pointed towards the #1 and off I went! I really enjoyed the course, the warning was well heeded, and I left my driver in the bag except for just a couple of holes. The greens were small and had false fronts, but were soft enough to be very aggressive to. After my round I spent a while on the practice green, then went in to the restaurant and had a little breakfast. The food was FANTASTIC! The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Stopped back by the pro shop and spent another 10 minutes talking with the fellow in there. It was just that kind of golf club: They made you feel welcome to be there and to stick around! I would highly recommend this course and staff!

Man! I haven't played this course for quite awhile, and while I always loved the course design and the challenges it brought, yesterday I was even more impressed! What a great staff, fantastic ground crew and wonderful changes to the course. Since Shari has become the managing pro this course and facility has become even more of a must play venture!! Great job Palm Beach Gardens, I would vote you the #1 Muni Course in Palm Beach County! P.S. The bunker on 17 is genius when the pin is back/right!

It isn't easy. Its a course that will reinforce the importance of forgetting your last shot and concentrating on the next one. One of my favorites.

Really nice track to play a round. I especially liked the length of the par 5s, all were reachable in two for a mid handicapper, which is one of those odd little things that will bring us back! Course was in great shape, with a great staff.

As soon as you walk up, you realize this is one of those courses that you are going to have a good time on. Great staff, fun layout, great pace of play. The character of the course is displayed on a sign at the 10th tee box: Beware of Gators and Snakes.

I don't consider myself a golf snob.....but holy cow! The antics of some of the golfers and the oblivious attitude of the staff was all I could take. It's a good thing its cheap, because that is the only draw I could see. I won't be back, nor would I recommend this to anyone that I like.

The layout is fantastic! It is definitely a course that if you are not finding fairway and green, you may not be finding you ball. We had one unfortunate fellow in our group that was hitting with a "fade" his on the front nine, and at one point had lost 7 balls. He got it straightened out, and made it in with the last couple of the dozen he had bought in the clubhouse. The greens were fast and true and in excellent shape. Only complaint.....the fairways needed mowing badly. There was more than one occasion that a search party was sent out for a ball hit in the fairway. Not good. No cups at the water jugs and no towels on the ball washers were minor annoyances......it felt like we were there on an off day during the busy season. I want to make another run (or two or three) around this track just to play such a beautiful course again with it ready for golfers. Staff was great! Even with my criticisms, play it! It's a great, and challenging course.

The course was moderately challenging. The greens were just sanded, and I expected a little lag in the putts, but that wasn't the case, they were fast and true. This course requires that you play every club in your bag. Play your driver to the landing spots, and keep your approach on target. I can't wait to get back on this course!

This course is a good course to brush up on management and shot placement. It isn't a long course, nor is it necessarily narrow, but there are plenty of holes with water to carry. Love the layout.

And the staff couldn't be better! From the valet parking, (which is validated by the pro shop), to the gentlemen in the shop, to the starter, everyone is super friendly and very helpful.

I am glad I made the 45 minute drive to this course. Well worth the drive. I will be back soon!
