Played On 10/04/2023Five Hour Round - Confirmed by course Ranger
Played on Wednesday, teed off at 8:50. Foursome in front of us with multiple open holes in front played a 5 hour round. Complained to the Ranger and he said they were right on schedule and they were old. So from that we have determined that a standard round of golf at TowneLake Golf Club is five (5) hours. Keep that in mind. Ranger is there to get a tan and nothing else.
Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the pace of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. From the young ones that took my bag from the trunk of my car, to the pro shop, to the starter (a wise man), to the ones that put my clubs back into my cart, CLASS, CLASS, CLASS! Wonderful experience, and apologies to the gorgeous home I bounced off of. Do not let this course pass you by! Challenging, but also fun!

I felt the course conditions have gone downhill and the cost has gone up. Greens were so so, tee boxes were horrible. Not much they can do with fairways this time of year, but tee boxes should have been over seeded long ago.

As always, super friendly staff, course in excellent condition despite the large amount of rain lately, and the layout is always challenging. Unfortunately being a resort golf course there are tons of “once a month” golfers who end up causing 5 hour rounds. I would still recommend the course due to everything else being excellent.

Over all the course was good. They aerated the fairways which made for some tight lies, but greens were excellent. Pace was a little slow, but normal for weekend play.

I was fortunate to be paired with two others that had played already the course and that was a huge help as there are some tricky holes. The course was emaculate and the greens fast! Although the track is challenging you really have to screw up to lose a golf ball. Do not pass this by, well worth the money!!

Got stuck behind “members” as a single. Never once offered to play through. Two open holes in front of them. Pro Shop’s answer was “Oh, they are members”. Last time for me and definitely would not consider a membership there.

Course in good shape. Would be better if golfers would properly repair ball marks. Great staff and good food at the Tavern.
