Bear Slide Golf Club
Played On 07/28/2022Nice Course
We’ve played Bear Slide before and enjoy it. This day course was in good shape and pace of play was good. Staff really makes you feel at home on the course.
Smock Golf Course
Played On 10/10/2021Slow and Good Day
Course was in really nice shape. Lush fairways and rough. Greens slower but true. Overall the course was in good condition.
Downside is play was slow. Did not see a ranger who could have speeded things up. Our round took over 5 1/2 hours. I didn’t need to be anywhere after the round, but if I did, it would have been frustrating.
Hi, thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Smock Golf Course!
Timbergate Golf Club
Played On 06/11/2021Our Private Course
Outstanding day on this beautiful Fuzzy Zoeller signature course. Weather was great and got off early. Didn’t see a soul on course until we finished and then course was packed. Greens ran fast and true. Tees, fairways and rough was lush. Only concern was that we did not see any markings for penalty areas (red and yellow lines and/or stakes).
No waiting and no one pushing us. Felt like it was our private course. Definitely recommend this course for a different experience from other Indiana courses.
Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 04/24/20216 Stars!!! Absolutely The Best Golf Experience Ever
The course was amazing and in pristine condition (better than most country clubs). Greens had been punched, but putts rolled true and fast. It was clear that the superintendent was knowledgeable and put in the time to keep the course in great condition. Fairways and Tees also were perfect with little indication of use.
I was greeted at the pro shop in a friendly manner and the pro spent time providing a course overview. He answered my questions knowledgeably and thoroughly. Directed me to tee and practice facilities without being asked and with no charge for range balls which is a rarity in my world.
However, with all this, the best part was the Guest Services. I was in a hurry when I left and inadvertently left a small bag with lots of expensive equipment including my golf watch, rangefinder, phone charger, etc. I called the next day from the airport as we were leaving and let them know of my loss. They found the bag, mailed it me and I received it within a matter of days. I asked if I could reimburse them for the costs, but they would not accept reimbursement.
I will long remember and recount this story for friends singing the praises of Paiute. And when I return to Vegas, I will book a trip to play the other two courses at the resort.
This was tops of any round I have played over a 40 yeas playing golf. Customer service at its finest at a beautiful and fun course.
Plum Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/15/2021Cool, Fast, Beautiful
Great round at one of my favorite courses. The day was a bit chilly and windy, but the course did not disappoint. Tees, fairways, greens and even traps in beautiful condition. Was not crowded, did not wait and got around quickly. Just a great day.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review, jkgaafar. We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us. Please visit again soon. Thanks for choosing Plum Creek Golf Club!
Golf Club of Indiana
Played On 06/22/2020Great Course in Beautiful Conditions, but ...
This was a great day: weather was fantastic, course was in great conditions, staff was wonderful, I played well, and thoroughly enjoyed the day, however I used one of the last monthly tee time credits to fully pay for my round which GolfNow has decided to stop issuing.
Without warning prior to renewing my subscription as a GolfPass+ member, GolfPass has reduced the monthly promotion to only $10. In a recent call to a Customer Service Rep, he advised that members had requested this. So instead of receiving free round valued from $20 to $62, subscribers would rather save $10. Hard to believe.
Turtle Point at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
Played On 02/29/2020Exceeded My Expectations
I played this course as part of a Golf Channel Amateur Tour Event. The draw with this tournament was playing the Ocean course, but I found this course to be equally as challenging and enjoyable. Lots of water and sand. Pristine tees, fairways and greens. Unexpected quick pace of play which was surprising given the beauty all around. I look forward to playing it again as course knowledge will help with course management.
Overall a great experience which I’ll share with many of my golfing buddies.
Wood Wind Golf Club
Played On 04/06/2019Nice course and friendly staff
My first time out early in the season. Course in good condition with exception of bunkers which were excellent. I’ve found public courses struggle to keep enough sand and manicured.
Greens were a bit slow, but probably due to early in the season. Typically, the course has fast and fair greens.
I played mid-day and it was busy, but played fast (3 hours for 18).
A lot of construction in area, but it did not affect the course.
All and all would recommend and plan to go back.
Hi, thank you for the five-stars. We appreciate your feedback, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Bear Slide Golf Club
Played On 10/10/2018Exceptional Staff
This is a great course, but even better were the staff. From Pro Shop to Snack Bar the staff listened, responded and made suggestions to improve our day.
Greens just plugged (and we knew this) were the only issue on course. Tees and fairways in great shape. TLC apparent at every turn. Played in less than 4 hours. Traps were meticulously maintained which was a nice surprise as many public courses have trap maintenance on low priority.
The Trophy Club
Played On 08/29/2018Course in Great Shape
I've played Trophy Club many times, but today the course was in the best shape I've ever seen it. Many courses in the area have been losing their greens, but Trophy Club has done a magnificent job of keeping them in great shape. The fairways and tees are also in good shape. Bunkers are a bit washed out with all the rain, but that is to be expected.
If you're in the area or up for the trip, a great value on a very nice course.
Prairie View Golf Club
Played On 08/10/2018Expensive Course with Poor Conditions
Although the tees and fairways were in good shape, the greens were horrendous. The greens had recently been aerated and sanded. Slow as molasses and a game of Pachinko bouncing off small pebbles, burned out spots and plugs put in to try to remedy poor quality of greens.
Guys we were paired with said course only offers tee times when course is in poor shape. This was a premium rate and deserved premium conditions. Disappointed.
There was no beverage cart and one lady at bar at turn with line 6 deep. Just grabbed a glass of water and went on. Didn’t want to hold up play. At the end of the day, there were service people wiping off clubs for a tip. Should have deployed them in more needed service areas.
Pace of play was a little slow. Had to wait several times. Perhaps I should have turned around when the guy at the pro shop said it was busy.
The Links at Heartland Crossing
Played On 08/03/2018Nice day with One Exception
This is a great course and pace of play was outstanding. Fairways and Tees were in tremendous shape, BUTTTTT the greens were horrible. One green (10th) was fairway cut short while they try to reclaim the actual green. Most greens have over 50% damage. The damaged areas are not cut nor are they marked as area under construction to take relief. It appears the course burned up the greens by watering during heat of the day or not watering.
Love this course but you might want to give them a month or so to get the greens back in shape.
Brookshire Golf Club
Played On 08/30/2017Course in Great Condition
When lots of courses are drying out, Brookshire is in great condition. Greens were soft yet fast and fairways lush. Would definitely recommend this Course for a good time.
Deer Creek Golf Club
Played On 08/03/2017Fast Fun Round on Well Maintained Course
Nice course nestled in the trees which made it tight in spots. Lots of hills and some water. Greens were tremendous, but not too fast. Had the course to ourselves, so play was fast (< 3 hours for 18). Great value for nice course.
Pebble Brook Golf Club - North Course
Played On 10/24/2016Good Course and Great Staff
Pebble Brook is a nice course with a great staff. Course was in good shape which was challenging given we had recently had some rain. Weather a bit cool but sunny, so nice brisk fall day.
What stood out was the staff. When I arrived a bit early the staff greeted me. I was a single, but that did not matter, they still worked to give me a great experience. They offered me to change courses (they have 2 18's) to get off earlier and play faster which I took.
On returning to the clubhouse, they asked about the course, my experience for the day and wanted to make sure I had a good day. They also showed me heavily discounted merchandise that I took advantage and purchased.
It was nice to see a truly caring staff that added to a great golf experience.
Battle Ground Golf Club
Played On 08/13/2016Beautiful course played fast
Enjoyed a good value on a very nice course that is a diamond in the rough. Greens were in very good shape but cut a bit long and played slower than I am used to.
Tees and fairways in great shape. As you see from the date played, this was a Saturday, yet we got around in 3 1/2 hours with no waiting or being pushed.
Pro shop staff were friendly and helpful. There is a snack bar, but not much more. No drink cart or halfway house.
Only disappointment was the bunkers. There were plenty, and although it looked like they had tried to maintain them, the several times I was in them they were hard and bounce of club caused club to glance off sand and catch ball thin sending across green.
Besides that, a great course and fantastic experience. Worth the trip for a day to remember.
The Trophy Club
Played On 08/04/2016Great Course; Good Bargain
This course is a diamond in the rough. A bit of a hike from Indy; it is well worth it. The course is in good conditions with well manicured greens, fairways and tees. The rough is fairly challenging with tall nature areas and lots of water. Placement of the tee ball is important. Greens are large, so pay attention to where the pin is placed when you're playing as it can make up to 2 club difference.
Club amenities are average as did not see a drink cart all day and temperature was mid 80s. Halfway house was not open, but has been in the past.
Number 2 is probably my favorite hole and wish it was later in the round. Requires 3 good shots to make the green and lots of thought. Big hitters can clear the water on the first shot, the rest of us have to play it safe. Lots of sand to be avoided. If you're long into the green, they shave the low area behind to catch your ball.
If you're looking for a course that's out in a beautiful country setting and not surrounded by houses, this would be a great choice.
Brookshire Golf Club
Played On 11/11/2015Nice course
Course in nice shape. Greens medium speed and holding approach shots well.
Fairways in good shape and rough thick with leaves as expected this time of year. A little problem with blind shots and not knowing if group in front had cleared.
Would play again.
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Bear Slide Golf Club.
