an interesting layout; lots of forced carries...some ridiculous, some challenging. Numbers 9 & 10 especially need some rethinking; Take the fairway bunker out of 9; turn #10 into a par 6 for most golfers....
no club house to speak of, just a trailer with a small bar and no food to speak of (muffins; hot dogs, pre-made sandwiches only) nice driving range and practice green area

an extended dry spell left the course hard and dry. Greens and fairways pretty good despite the lack of rain. Bunkers groomed but very little sand; tough to get the ball up with any kind of spin. Pace of play 4 3/4 hrs. Only peeve is the 2 or 3 blind tee shots to fairways with large dips/valleys in them; can't see the group ahead unless you go 50-75 yds ahead of tee box. Easy with a cart; a pain in the neck if you are walking! Overall a pleasant day; food was good after our round.

Course in good shape; good pace due to tournament scheduled for later in the day; friendly marshals kept everyone moving. Done in 4hrs even. A GPS will help on a few holes where there is trouble.....distance to creek, etc.

always a pleasure to play here; course in great shape with moderately fast greens. Only issue was the number of ball marks not repaired on greens (no fault of the course mgmt) Made for some uneven rolls. I'm blaming my 3-putts on them. LOL Greens always tough.
Beer princess funny, friendly with regular drive bys (twice on the front, twice on the back).
Finished in 4 hours.

don't consider playing here if you cant hit the ball 200 yds in the air off the tee. Half a dozen holes have long carries (150-200 yds) from the tee box. If you miss the fairway more than 10 yds you are likely in deep fescue or woods. Course was full on a beautiful Sunday which meant 5+ hour round.

......difficult to know where to put the ball for first time players. One hole I thought I shanked it into the woods....turned out to be right down the middle but you certainly couldn't tell from the tee as it looked like the fairway should have been 30 degrees to the left. Couple of other holes has similar quirks, eg can see 2 greens and 2 flags from the tee, which to aim for? One hole has 2 fairways going in different directions, etc.
Will be more enjoyable if I go back with a little course knowledge. Lots of elevation changes, bunkers stony and hard packed, greens were nice, fairways good. Long round, though, tee times 6 minutes apart!
