Rate was reasonable for the high season. Practice facility in good shape. Pace of play was great.

Lots of grass on driving range. Short game practice area in great condition. Fairways still mostly green. Bunkers in good shape. Greens rolled pretty true, but almost all cups sat atop a small mound which made putts roll off to one side or the other. Beverage cart came around frequently, which was appreciated in the 100-plus heat.

Practice range well spaced to allow social distancing. Course in great shape. Greens roll true. Pace of play very quick - 3 hours, largely due to “bumpers” around pins keeping balls from actually being holed. Bunkers are basically a free drop as they aren’t groomed and, of course, no rakes available..

This course is 50 min from Scottsdale, so it’s a good drive and an all day event. Outside service staff are not the friendliest people. Driving range was very crowded on the weekend. I found the course very challenging from the forward tees. Views were spectacular and worth the drive. I wish the clubhouse offered nice dining options as it wold be great to have a leisurely lunch after the round .

Padre still a better course than the former Indian Bend (now known as Ambiente). Fairways and greens in better condition than Ambiente.

Many of the holes were cart-path only, which made for a longer day with all that walking. Course was in great shape. Wish the range offered better warm-up experience. Those Cayman balls were damaged or mis-shapen and hitting off mats didn't improve the experience. Practice bunker was hard as a rock.

Mowers were everywhere, scalping fairways and rough. Lots of dust and grass flying around due to the mowing. Hard to find balls due to mowed debris/grass being left on ground. Pretty steep prices considering the condition of the course. Practice greens closed.

Phoenician is always in top shape! Course is in excellent condition, greens are pretty fast. Course ranger had us play a different back nine than originally scheduled due to back up and slow play. We appreciate this extra effort and we were done with our round in a little over 3 1/2 hours. Can't say enough about how really pretty this course is; we always bring our out-of-town visitors here so they get a true taste of AZ golf.
