What a nice surprise. The course is a very well maintained. High end feel without the pretentiousness, Putting on bent grass is absolutely the best.

The greens are in great shape as is most of the course. Located in the woods away from traffic and housing. I only wish there had been an on-course beverage cart.

Choose your tee carefully. The Black & Orange tees are a stout test! The greens were recently sanded, but were smooth. The deep rough can be very penal at times. I always enjoy this course. Bring your own water - the beverage cart came by only once.

Fun layout, great location. The tee boxes are really chewed up!! Fairways and greens are good. Pace of play was perfect. The clubhouse is showing some age & lack of maintenance. Lunch was great and the server was pleasant.

Although the tee boxes are deteriorating, the fairways are patchy in spots & the greens still had aeration holes it was still a very playable course. The pace of play was perfect! II enjoyed the round.

Heard great things about this course from locals & recent on-line reviews looked good. The tees & fairways are in great shape. The carts were clean with working GPS. The layout is phenomenal with immense changes in elevation. The greens are abysmal! It’s unclear to me what happened to them (disease, fungus, pests, drought, neglect ???), but they are substantially without grass & most are heavily sanded. I played Willow Creek GC two days prior & it was without blemish tee to green at a lower cost. Avalon is a beautiful community with a great course (once the greens are rejuvenated). A greens warning should be listed on GolfNow.

Oriole GC greenskeeper is to be commended! The staff is always friendly & attentive.

Although the hotel & clubhouse are still under construction it’s no reason to stay away. The course is in much better shape.

This course is atrocious! Using the So. FL GolfPass book the rate is still $82 ($32 is for the cart). Nothing at the course is exceptional & everything is disconnected, from the parking lot (no attendants), to the pro shop, to starter station, to the ice/water cooler. The carts are very plain (no gps, no coolers, etc. & lacked sand/dirt in the divot boxes.). The tee boxes have almost NO grass. The fairways have slightly more, but are very thin and patchy. The rough is mostly just ankle deep St. Augustine lawn grass. The greens are good, but not great. The layout isn’t anything special either. The cups for water were small, thin, clear plastic that held about 12 ounces of water & had no insulation properties whatsoever. So, in the So. FL heat, your ice will melt in about 15 minutes. The on course water stations were simply electric hot/cold water coolers - no ice is available there. The beverage cart appeared at the 9th hole - I paid $7 ($6 + $1 tip) for an Arnold Palmer in a 20 ounce plastic bottle. The on course bathrooms were the lone bright spot - clean & well stocked. The staff was polite, but placed in the unenviable position to apologize for the terrible conditions & ridiculously overpriced greens and cart fees. Play Normandy Shores instead.

This is one of the most difficult courses I’ve ever played. This course embarrased & humbled a single digit handicapper. Although the course condition & weather were near perfect, sometimes good shots were punished anyway. The greens are pretty small, undulating & fast! They are hard to hold unless you hit it high (which most amateurs can’t.) The bunker sand was inconsistent from hole to hole. Some were packed hard while others were soft. The staff was friendly & efficient. This was my 1st time playing here & look foward to playing it a bit smarter the next time.

Really good greens condition. Wish I had time to play it again. Good pace of play. Staff was friendly & informative to first time guests. Driver is not needed or desired on many par 4s & 5s from the blue tees. Tall grasses off the fairways are definite score killers though, so hit it straight!

I can’t say enough good things about the staff. They were all friendly, informative & accommodating! The course is a good value in the $35-$40 range. There is some obvious weed/grass intrusion on some tee boxes & fairways, but should not affect playability. The greens are really good. They are hard & roll well even after heavy rains.

Very few golfers playing today. 3 holes were designated “cart path only.” Unknown how much rain has fallen here, but it’s clear the course is unable to drain quickly based on terrain. The greens are good (but, VERY SMALL). The tee boxes & fairways are playable, but are not groomed very well. The yardage book is an invaluable tool & will help you avoid getting out of position. The course is in a nice gated community. It’s a really good $30 value, but it could be (and probably once was) so much better conditioned.

The course is a good value, but don’t expect any bag or cart service - DIY only. It’s a shorter par 70 with pretty generous fairways, but the greens are smallish & undulating. Greens are in pretty good condition. Eat @ Mission BBQ after your round It’s right down the street.

Played this course several years ago and it was "pristine" - fairways were like carpet, but not anymore! Grass is sparse in some areas and weedy in some others, but still very playable. The greens were in good shape - not too fast or slow. The layout is really good and fair for a mid-handicapper. The beverage cart staff was"Top Notch!" They were the most enthusiastic I've ever encountered. Don't pay full price though. Get a GolfNow time or book from the 25th - 31st and pay the date.

This is one of my favorite Northwest Broward County courses. The rough is pretty weedy now, but the greens are in great shape! The course is closing next month for rejuvenation. The course needs some TLC, but not an overhaul. I hope ClubLink will also pay attention to some of the details often overlooked, i.e.condition of the carts, tee box signage, ball washers, water cooler containers, mold on the clubhouse roof, and some severely cracked concrete paths, The club formerly hosted the Honda Classic and had superb conditions. I hope it returns soon.

The course was in really good condition - about the best in Orlando now! Some areas on fairways had been sanded, but no problems encountered. The staff was top notch! They were friendly & helpful, but not obtrusive. The clubhouse is well appointed as one would expect of a Four Seasons resort. The food was excellent at the Cuban American grill, but very pricey (as one would expect at a Four Seasons resort.)
