Championship Course at Crosswinds Golf Club
Played On 07/01/2020Worth playing with the Hot Deal
We picked up a hot deal and got to play this course pretty cheap. Thankfully we didn't spend a whole lot of money for the experience there. This course is mediocre at best. Coolest thing about this course are the jets coming in and out of Gulfstream.
Upon arriving, I checked into the pro shop, the guy said you're paid up thru GN and good to go. I asked if I needed a receipt for the starter (indicating that this was my first time there and I wasn't familiar with there course or procedures) and he said your good there is no starter. Not a, is this your first time playing here or fo you know where the first tee is, Nothing. So I proceeded out to load my clubs into the cart and try to find my way to the first tee box. Finally making our way across the long bridge to where the actual 18 hole course is I knew it was going to be a slow day when they had multiple twosomes booked with no starter or ranger to coordinate...... off to the course.
There were many tee boxes that hadn't been cut in over a week and the greens in a couple of days. The greens were extremely slow, however mostly covered in grass and not burnt up or had diseased spots.
This course has no markings whatsoever outside of a single post to list the hole number. You have to rely wholly on your scorecard for layouts and yardage as there are no markings on the course at all. Even a marked sprinkler head with the yardage to the green were very rare as was the 100, 150 yard markers. You definitely need to carry a range finder to this course if you want to be close on yardage. However their pins aren't designed with the range readers to make out easy to locate.
I'm not saying i wouldn't play this course again but it would certainly have to be another Hot Deal to make out worthwhile.
Woodland Hills Golf Club
Played On 01/28/2020Woodland Hills
Course was in relatively good condition considering all the rain that we've had. Playing this course it's a good deal at hot deal price, however I wouldn't pay their posted rate of $40-50 bucks to play here right now.
Cobblestone Golf Course
Played On 08/17/2018Course is going downhill
After booking my round through Golf Now, who had No alert about an aerification. I called the course to verify weather conditions in the area. They told me that they had aerified the greens on Monday (five days earlier). We arrived at the course to find the greens totally covered with Sand. They had aerified earlier but only applied sand the previous day. It was like putting in the sand traps.
They had twosome stacked one after the other with No efforts being made what so ever to pair folks up to increase the soured of play. We had a group of real hackers in front that the Marshall said "they was doing the best they can".
Furthermore, this course has been in great shape throughout the years that we've played there, However now it seems to be going downhill fast. There are many tee boxes that are in terrible shape. Almost every hole had multiple spots where folks are traveling the same paths (following like cattle) entering and exiting the fairways that had Big bare spots. With the amount of rain that we've had, this course should be in pristine condition. ......but it's not. I can't give a greens report as you couldn't even see them due to the amount of sand.
Turns out that the course itself was offering better pricing than Golfnow, with a lunch included because of the course conditions. GolfNow needs to stay on top of their game involving course conditions or they'll start losing customers. As for Cobblestone, I want be going back for a while, and certainly until they have made some changes.
Fox Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2018Nice tract for the money
Great place for my daughter who is a beginning golfer to get out and practice. The only complaint that I would've had was that they stacked several single players in behind our group of four. We let one guy play thru, but then there were two more single behind him who wouldn't join up together to help their pace of play. We let them wait it out.
The Landing at Pleasant Point
Played On 06/28/2018Great place to play away from the crowds of HHI
We really enjoyed our round there. Great scenery including abundant low country wildlife. Course was in good shape and my daughter and I were able to play without being pushed. Will definitely play again when in town.
Old South Golf Links
Played On 09/26/2017Great Value
Really enjoyed playing this course. The course was in great shape. Had a friendly, helpful staff. We got a Hot deal which made this an incredible value. Nice change up from the overpriced courses on hhi.
Callahan Golf Links
Played On 10/09/2014I paid too much!
I like taking advantage of the Hot Deals through Golf Now. You can play some very nice courses, for around 30 bucks. Also, you can get out and play an average course for only 15-18 bucks. We paid 32 to play Callahan. This course, in my opinion, is more like an 18-20. I would play here again, but only for a Hot Deal at no more than 20 bucks. Fields Ferry is better for the money.
I played it today and had a great time.It is a great golfing layout. Some of the less experience golfers may need to play from the white or red tees. I had back to back birdies on 7 and 8. What a great time.
Lion Golf Club
Played On 10/08/2014Great afternoon golf
Tee boxes are in need of some major attention. They're not up to participate for this course. Great layout, and somewhat mountainous for it to be west Georgia. After a long 17 holes, # 18, a long par 5, that has to carry over the lake to the green, will really test your golf skills.
The Golf Club At Bradshaw Farm - Red Nine
Played On 04/25/2014Maybe better in late spring or summer.
The fairways were in bad shape. In their defense, Atlanta did have a rough winter.
The greens were okay, but they putted very inconsistently from the blue nine over to the white. So, just as you got use to the greens on the first nine, they were totally different for the last nine.
Hi ChipNPutt4Par. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Par-3 Course at Crosswinds Golf Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
