The Club At Westminster
Played On 01/12/2013eh...
Range balls not included in greens fees. Nothing spectacular from this course. Before our tee time practice facilities were over loaded and I couldn't get onto the putting or chipping areas.
Some holes are not that bad. Others are not very enjoyable as some run along the border of the community and bare witness to homes outside of the community (with their noises and distractions). A tall hedge along the perimeter fence would be nice to keep some of the courses ambiance.
In the end we played here because of the lower relative fees. It would be worth it to pay double to play somewhere else that is nicer.
TwinEagles Golf & Country Club - Eagle Course
Played On 01/12/2013Great course!
Twin Eagles has two courses, and the talon is by far my favorite of the two!
Water is not much of an issue on this course, but sand is definitely a possibility (typical of a Nickalaus design).
Carts have GPS, which is very nice.
During the golf season here, they split the range up into a members only side and a non members side. I was told they were out of range balls on the non member side. I was also told I could not hit balls from the members side even though it had only 1 other golfer on it. I made my way to the far side of the range anyway and was fortunate to share some balls with another golfer. The situation did stigmatize me somewhat.
Overall its a beautiful course that hosts a senior tour tournament as is definitely worth playing!!
South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
Played On 11/01/2012my local course
I live in the community in which this course wraps around, and have had the opportunity to play it on a number of times.
There are 3 nine hole courses which can give you the opportunity to get some variety if you play it more frequently.
Practice areas are decent with a water driving range and a putting green.
The course is older , developed in the late 70's, and mostly wraps through alot of areas with homes. The course does not feel terribly tight, but doesn't alot all that much room for wayward shots.
All in all if you can get it at a good price it can be a very enjoyable round.
Bonita Bay East - Sabal Course
Played On 08/30/2012an amazing course
Bonita Bay East has two courses, and this time we played the sabal. Both courses are two of my favorite local courses as they are completely devoid of any homes. Both courses offer the opportunity to see varied types of wildlife including deer, turkeys, eagles, racoons etc.
Practice facilities are top notch with titleist practice golf balls at the range, a chipping area with sand trap, and multiple putting greens.
I would play here every day if I had the chance!!
