Overpriced and poorly maintained

I’ve played both courses several times over the past 3 years and continue to question why i would come back again. The staff are great; very friendly and accommodating at the pro shop and restaurant. The issue is the course(s) itself. A friend and I paid over $40 per person for 9 holes and a cart at 545 tonight. Fair if it’s a great track, it’s not. The blue tees i played today (Links) hadn’t been mowed in 5-7 days. 10 feet off most fairways is no longer grass, but a mixture of weeds, hardpan dirt, or both. The bunkers have more rocks than I’ve ever seen, to the point i wouldn’t hit a ball out of them in fear of damaging my wedge. The collars around the greens are mowed maybe once every 3-5 days and are very inconsistent. Greens were good in all fairness. I’ve worked at multiple golf courses in the pro shop and on maintenance during my college years and have been playing the game i can remember. There is much better value for your money in the local area at courses not surrounded by housing developments. Could be a great track if they had the money for herbicides, fungicides, regular mowing, and a big enough crew to maintain it but that clearly is not the case.
