Kokopelli Golf Course
Played On 09/22/2022Needs serious renovation
I’ve played kokopelli for many years and the quality has gotten worse every year. It’s now to the point where I’d rather play somewhere else. The range was closed due to serious flooding, the beverage cart wasn’t even out because they didn’t have enough business. Most of the course has significant drainage problems so they get stagnant water pooling all over the course including the cart path. The bunkers are abandoned, most of them have moss and plants growing in them and that’s the ones that aren’t under water. One of the holes is closed due to renovations so you don’t even get to play 18 and the rest of the holes have huge bare spots and weed ridden fairways. It’s very disappointing that the course has fallen off this much, but if ownership doesn’t put serious money into fixing it I probably won’t play here anymore
Pine Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/13/2017Good course
This was our first time playing this course, it’s in great condition for mid November . The rough is very thick so it can stop your ball very quickly if you don’t keep it on the fairway. We had a good time and enjoyed it, I would definitely come back again .

Me and two buddies played this course for the first time, we were impressed with the condition of the course. The staff was nice and the food was good. We all have very different skill sets from very new to golf to intermediate and this course has a little bit of something for everyone. I will definitely play it again.
Ahwatukee Country Club
Played On 10/26/2017Course is in atrocious condition
My buddy and I went to play this course because it was pretty cheap, that was definitely a mistake. When we checked the overseeding schedule it said that the course was supposed to be closed but it was still showing tee times, we figured they finished early and opened it early. It turns out that their overseed was delayed and their overseeding starts on Sunday 10/29. They had cut the course down to prep for overseed but they killed the entire course. There was not living grass anywhere except for the greens and the entire experience was like playing out of a sandlot. It was so bad that I've seen football fields after several games that look better than this golf course. We told the starter there was no way we were going to play the back 9 with the course in such bad shape because it wasn't even remotely fun. I asked for half my money back because the course should be closed. She refused and only issued a rain check (which I gave to the next guy in line). There's no way I'm going back to this course. The staff was rude and the course was in terrible condition.
San Tan Highlands
Played On 10/13/2017Nice course but just finished overseeding and several things are closed.
We enjoyed playing here, the course is in really good shape especially having just come off overseeding (greens are expectedly slow). However our tee time indicated that range balls were included and had no notes about course conditions, when we arrived we found out the practice green and the driving range were both closed (we arrived 40 minutes early to warm up) as well as the course management implemented rules for cart path only which we were also not told about prior to checking in for our round, all due to overseeding. We would probably play this course again but wish the tee time indicated those issues because it was not what we were expecting.
Shalimar Golf Club
Played On 10/17/2015Don't waste your time or money
This course was under reseeding when we played it and the greens were thicker than shag carpet. We knew it was under repair when we decided to play it, but it was bad enough that the staff should have just closed it. The staff was nice enough but they didn't handle the situation very well when the group behind us actually hit me with a drive after hitting into us all day long. This course is wedged into a small area and makes getting hit from any angle or any hole a real possibility. Getting hit with a golf ball and ridiculously unreasonable greens means I won't be going back here, overpriced especially compared to other courses around the Tempe area. Don't waste your time and money.
