Leeds Golf Club
Played On 12/23/2021Great condition, foggy like a Scooby Doo episode
Hard to expect much condition wise at this time of year. I emailed the pro before to ask how it was and it was as he described. All greens in play, fairways fairly dry, boggy in places but this is to be expected. Few decent holes, just a shame I didn't play so well. Overall enjoyed the course, I'm sure it would be class in the summer

Played On 12/02/2021Great value and great condition
Me and a mate played for £8 each, 18 holes which is great value. This is a 9 hole course. This time of year you expect it to be boggy but it was quite dry, think its the undersoil conditions which help with drainage.
All holes and greens were in play. Club pro was friendly and said fairway mats everywhere in the course, and was nice enough to let us borrow a couple for free.
For a mid handicapper like me it's a decent challenge and I certainly enjoyed it. Some great views on a couple holes too. Some of the greens were icy due to the temperature, there's nothing the club can do to stop that. Made for some interesting putts.
All in all, a good day of golf. This will probably be my winter course of choice with how dry it has stayed.

Played On 12/10/2020£9 is great value
Played today with a mate on a deal of £9 for 16 holes. The 1st and 10th hole (same hole as 9 hole course) were closed due to recent bad weather but that's to be expected at this time of year. The course was in good condition overall. The course benefits from being high up on the side of a valley so has good drainage. The fairways and greens were in good condition as a result. Didn't even need to use fairway mats, winter tees were in play as expected. Their was the usual muddy spots but still fine overall.
The 9 hole layout is pretty good and flows nicely from hole to hole. Theirs a good mixture of holes too, doglegs left and right, straight holes and short and long par 3's. Overall i enjoyed it and it ear great value, some nice views across the valley too.

Played On 07/05/2020Nice course, greens really good, some great scenery too. Problem is its always really windy there so the course plays alot harder than it should. The tee boxes are sometimes an inconvenience. The 2nd tee is just past the green for the 1st. The 12th is in that area aswell so there can be a delay sometimes with tee shots. The 8th tee you have to cross the 3rd hole fairway. Overall a good course, probably won't play again as the weather is brutal, even in summer.

Played On 12/16/2020Boggy but greens still good
The course is quite boggy, particularly in some areas, but to be expected with all the rain we've had. The greens are still in good condition though. I carried my clubs, I wouldn't recommend using a trolley with the course like this.
I paid 16.99 on a deal which is okay value. Their were no temporary greens, most of the tees were off mats. Fairway mats are mandatory.
The course is probably getting to the point where it may have to close if it continues raining.
Generally I like the course. A good test, with some nice holes. The par 3's are all different and challenging.
The staff are always friendly and I've had no problems with other golfers on the course after playing it 5 or 6 times. Their is a putting green, chipping area, practice bunker and a couple bets to warm up in.

Played On 09/19/2020Amazing views and amazing rough
I played this course for the first time, amazing views of the surrounding area. Greens and fairways in great condition. I didn't see any staff as I'd started before they opened up. Overall really enjoyed it, obviously it was quite windy, but that's to be expected on top of a hill.
If you can hit the fairways you can score well here. Pace of play was abit slow as I was behind a 2 ball but as it was first time I didn't mind following them around. Great value for £16 and will probably play again next week. Think this will be a course that will stay open year round with not too many issues as the wind will dry the course in the winter.

Played On 03/19/2020In surprisingly good condition despite all the wet weather
Played here today with my brother and the course was in good nick. The greens were particularly good, out of 18 holes their were only two where the ball stopped dead/plugged, unfortunately one of the occasions stopped me from having a hole in one, ball stopped 3 inches short, but such is life... Fairways were decent for the main part too, obviously some boggy parts but it's expected with all the rain we've had. Fairways mats in use, but didn't need that much as I don't tend to hit many fairways. There's a putting green, bunkers to practice chipping out of and some nets aswell too which si great. Paid £16 each for 18 holes on here which I think is great value. The course is a good test for a beginner like me with some narrow fairways and accuracy needed with approach shots. Overall good course and really enjoyed it.

Played On 09/26/2019Great value for money
Loved this course today, really enjoyable, lots of variation in the holes, greens in good condition, fairways good too, even with all the rain we've had recently. Paid £15 for the round, plus a fiver for a trolley. Some of the holes do crossover with greens and tees but it's not big deal. No driving range but their is a putting green. Overall a great experience, staff were friendly enough, didn't go in the clubhouse so can't comment on that.
