Every winter the over seed on this course gets less and less.Fairways too narrow no over seed around the greens.Since the greens don’t even hold a lob wedge every chip is being played off dormant Bermuda of hand pan.Renovation made this place worse much better options in the area for much less. This place not worth it. Stay away

Love this course for the views and layout but play is way too slow.This is nothing new every time we play here it’s 5 and a half hours

Best course conditions in the last ten years. Let’s try and keep it this way

AS a threesome upon arriving at course we were told immediately we could not take separate carts.we were fine with that,two in one cart and one as a single.When we got to the first tee we were shocked to find out the starter told a single to share my cart with me.We do have a pandemic going on and you want me to ride with a stranger?Not acceptable.Went inside pro shop to see what was going on and was told I had three options.Ride with the stranger,pay $8 for the seat,or get a refund and go home.If I didn't drive today I would have left,but I paid the additional $8 to protect myself from illness.Hope you enjoy the $8,we will NEVER play here again costing you much more in the future.With what is going on in the world today some people still dont have a clue.

Play this golf course a few times every year and this is the best shape I have seen it.Fairways and greens perfect.Pace of play 4 hours.Only issue was no sand in bunkers like concrete

We have played this course many times and were very surprised by the condition of the Lakes nine.It was in the worse condition we have ever seen,very dry,terrible greens,bare fairways ect.The sonoran was perfect,plush,great greens.It was like summer on one side winter on the other.Why???Next time we play we will avoid the lakes nine at all costs.

forget about the overpriced Scottsdale courses,try Desert Canyon.Best conditioned course we have EVER played in Arizona.Great views,great service,perfect overseed.

Excellent layout,every hole different from the last.Back nine was outstanding.Problem was course conditions were horrible.The summer grass did not come in leaving every tee box and fairway bald and hardpan areas everywhere.Greens were just ok,very bumpy.
I would not recommend this course this year,better luck with your summer grass next year. SHAME

Good Old golf course.Tree lined and in great condition.Not your typical AZ dessert style golf course

course in good shape for summer.Rough is much too long,summer is almost over,please pay someone to cut rough.Greens inconsistant some fast some slow.

I have been playing the Duke for about ten year now and this once plush(yes PLUSH) beautiful green golf course has been so mis-managed over the last five years it has become a swamp.The Duke still has great customer service,good food,and a great layout,but its all wrapped around a golf course with some of the worst conditions in the valley.This time a year when all other courses are at their best,the Duke is at its worst.I know the course is up for sale so there isnt any pride in the conditions,but come on,some grass would be nice.I will not be back until it is sold or they finally learn how to overseed correctly and grow winter grass.

After being closed for the summer we were looking forward to playing The Links at Queen Creek but were unpleasantly surprised.The course was not ready to open.Terrible greens bald fairways and tee boxes.Needs about another month to grow in before its up to par.Stay away for now.

We were looking forward to playing this course for a few weeks since the reviews were good.Big mistake.
Its just like every other Casa Grande golf course,good greens just o.k fairways and everything else UGLY.Dead grass on tee boxes and overgrown rough and rocks.Save your money and drive to Tuscon or Phoenix to play.

It looks like back in the day this course used to be something,and has the layout to be great again,but at present time what a mess.This course is not managed correctly and has been let go for many years.Stay away

This course reminds me of the courses we used to play in the north east.The greens were perfect,the fairways and tee boxes plush.My only complaint would be that they were too plush and needed to be cut.I can not believe I am saying this about an Arizona golf course,but yes please cut the fairways and tee boxes.

Over the last few years I have played The Duke many times,and course conditions seem to be worse every time we play.It is amazing what a little rain does to this course,makes it unplayable for weeks.I think its time to address the constant water and flooding on this course.Great layout,too bad they can not get playing conditions right.Would not pay more than $40 to play this course.

This was my first time playing San Marcos and I was very impressed.Finally a golf course in Arizona with sand in the traps not crushed stone.The course does need to grow in a little more,fairways and greens.The large pine tree that blocks the entire 1st green must come down and the canal that runs through a few holes must be landscaped,add some block or wood retaining walls to it.Its just ugly!

Oakwood remains one of the best courses for overall conditions and value in the valley.Only complaint is the sand traps need more sand instead of compact dirt.

This time of year I look forward to playing Superstition Springs,not any more.This used to be a great course that has been totally been let go.Rough is yellow,muddy and way too long,slowing play down while everyone looks for their balls.No starter,no ranger,and a very rude kid cleaning clubs after the round,and this was on a Sunday Wow!Dont waste you time and money,play somewhere else.
