My wife and I were visiting our son in Chicago for Easter and we wanted to play a round of golf. Like the title says' it was cold and windy. However, the course was in good shape. The pace of play was a little slow, It took my threesome five hours to play 18. The reason was we were behind a company outing so we couldn't play through. The greens looked very good, the speed was good not too fast or too slow. Not many straight flat puts. The fairways were green and well groomed. The bunkers were in great shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not eat or drink at the restaurant. It looked to have had a well stocked bar. Great place to warm up before your tee time. If in the Chicago are add this course to you play list.

Had a good day of golfing. My wife and I were paired with two other golfers. One of them had only played 7 rounds of golf so our pace of play was slow but we had a good time. The greens where in good shape and they played well. Fairways and rough where groomed. I played this course seven day later and they had new carts.

For the time of the year the course was in great shape. Gras was thinning on one or two greens and there was some tight lies on some fairways. over all the weather and course were great. The course was full the day we played so starter paired my wife and myself up with two that had played the course before. it helped us a lot. The pace of play was good and flowed smoothly. We didn't use the club house but it looked nice

Over all it was a very good course and the staff was very helpful. My wife and I were celebrating my 60th birthday with a few rounds of golf in the St Augustine area. The weather was perfect 74 degrees, the course was over all in good shape. A couple of greens where a little thin. The fairways are narrow at times. most hole have moguls in front of the greens. I cant get my shots to fly the green and stick. I like to run the ball on to the green. The moguls made it difficult for me to hit some of the greens in regulation . There is water on the course but it only comes in to play on a couple of holes. We were paired up with two other players because the course was busy this slowed us down but provided a lot more fun.. The course has alligators so stray alert when next to the water. (It is Florida). The carts where clean and in good shape. Some COVID 19 precautions were in effect in the pro shop and on the course. The staff in the pro shop were not wearing mask, Some social distancing was being practiced.. The cups had ball preventers in them to make it easer to remove your ball without removing the flag. All ball washers and drinking water coolers have been removed and no rakes for the bunkers. Over all we had a very good time and I would love to play this course again.

Great of golfing. The course was in good shape. They are in the process of up grading their cart paths and repairing the bunkers. other than that the fairways and greens are in excellent shape. All of the staff from the pro shop, restaurant and course personnel were friendly and helpful.

The best state park that I have ever played! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The course was in great shape. The course is playable for all levels from the three times a year golfer to the three times a week golfer. If you have time the lunch and dinner at the lodge are outstanding!

I also ways play this course the first day of my vegas golf outings. I use this as a worm up round when a group of friends flat in las Vegas. The course is in good shape and plays fast. The staff was helpful and friendly. The course was recently sold.. I wish they would bring back the two free drinks with. A round of golf.
