Ocatillo is a beautifully run golf club.
The value in way above board, I was highly impressed with our total experience!

We are blessed with all the golf courses that are available to us in these surrounding area's of Phoenix and Scottsdale.
San Marcos golf course to me is a municipal city park course at best..
The tee boxes and fairways are in great shape, and the greens were excellent and surprisingly fast.
Keeping the context that weekends bring out the preverbial weekend warrior's not tp forget that they are the reason most of these types of courses are kept funded and in such good shape.
Pace of play wasn't bad considering we finished in just under 4 and a half hours.
Cost of the round was affordable at 50.00
A round of golf at San Marcos golf club is definitely worth your time, if not just to work on your game,
with no pressure of a country club atmosphere, or just folks with novice aspirations of golf enjoy a few hours with friends.

The course is in pretty good condition, from tee boxes to the fareways to the greens..

The course is in beautiful condition, along with practice area.
We had an early tee time Sunday, and we wanted to grab and go something for breakfast, and their restaurant wasn’t open until a certain time.
They had a tournament starting early and people weren’t able to get anything to eat before they went out. I mean really?
Anyway again the courses are in great shape, and a nice facility.
We went out on the first tee and we got to the first green, and the group ahead of us were on the Tee and in one of their carts they were playing music, I mean I like music and all, lol but it was pretty loud.
I went up to one in their group and asked nicely if maybe they could tone it down a little when we were on the green or what have you and he said they would.
After a couple of holes, it kept going on, I mean this was a bit like Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack if you remember.
There is a number you can call on the card they give you so I proceeded to call that number, the first time I called I waited on hold for 15 minutes, this is supposedly to be the number for the pro shop, i tried numerous times after that to try to speak with someone, to no avail would they answer.
Finally around the 14 Tee box I got through to someone, and they said they would take care of it, by the end of the 16th hole, nothing was done, By that time groups in front and even behind us were very upset.
Thank you very much Talking Stick for your lack of customer service and care for all of us in and around that group on Sunday April 29th tee time around 7:50am.
I realize in the big picture, this review probably means nothing to you , but there are at least 50 beautiful courses to choose from in the outlining area of Scottsdale and Phoenix.
It kind of sucks, because it is a really nice place, but For the money, I’l guess I’ll take my business else where.

Everything from driving up to the course, dropping off our bags, checking in, was a pleasurable experience.
The driving range and putting greens were top notch.
We started right on time, and the course from the teeiing off areas to the fairways to the greens were in beautiful condition.
The layout was very creative and professional.
We will definitely play and enjoy lunch and a drink again soon.

Me and my wife just started playing again after a medical sabbatical.
We had a wonderful time, everyone was very gracious and eager to please.
Everything from the condition of the practice area to the clubhouse, the restaurant,
and the pro shop was top notch.
We played the Ranch course, and it was in spectacular condition!
We will be making frequent visits to this club for meals, drinks as well as enjoy
playing the courses as well.
