Played On 04/12/2019Don’t arrive early
Arrived 1 hour 15 minutes early after an hour drive and was told I could not be checked in or issued a cart for me prepaid tee time. I was invited to carry my bag and a bucket of balls several hundred yards across the parking lot, first tee box and road to the driving range. Then carry my bag back across the same obstacles in 20 minutes to be checked in. Just silly. Greens are in bad shape and fairways needed a mower. Staff never offered an explanation for the check in policy and seemed inconvenienced by my presence.

The course is not in bad shape and the narrow tee shots can be a challenge. My biggest gripe with this or any course is allowing groups of 5, especially on the weekend. No matter how fast you think your five-some plays it is slower than the two-some behind you.

Everything seems to be a little subpar. There are nicer course for the same price, or in many case less, a few miles away. If they could just maintain it a little better and create a culture of etiquette this would be a great place to play.
Thank you fro your comments.Unfortunately, the multiple floods over the past 3 years have been challenging to some areas of the course. Much of the damage has been repaired while ongoing efforts are addressing the rest. Conditions are improving. Hope you'll visit us again.
George, Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, the course had just reopened following 8 days of closure from flooding from the San Jacinto River. Understandably, it was cart paths only and still very wet. We hope you will visit again under drier conditions.
