I am a once a week golfer that shoots low 80’s. My idea of a good course is good character holes with good conditions.
I was in Orlando with two golf buddies for a semi golf/ business trip. We played Grand cypress, Celebration, and Waldorf. Waldorf by far was the worst of the three.
The staff was very friendly and the amenities were great. They have a nice grass driving range but the good ends there.
The course itself was in unplayable conditions. It was so wet that all tee shots plugged so bad that it took a few minutes to find the ball even in the fairways. When walking in the fairway, it is so wet that water actually get up to your socks in some spots. Hitting any sort of chip shots were near impossible because of the lack of drainage.
I thought maybe the terrible conditions were due to recents rains but we played Grand Cypress the next day and it was near perfect. Also we were joined by a single who was staying the hotel and played the course two days prior. The single said the course was in this near unplayable condition both times he played.
Also be ready to play cart path only golf which is really annoying in the heat. The starter advised that the course mostly plays as cart path only due to lack of drainage.
As for the layout, it was fair but nothing special.
This was complete waste of a round and would not play this course again.

Pros
Great layout, fun driving range with island greens, and friendly staff.
Cons: fairways did not drain well which led to a ton of plugged balls, very little drinking water on the course, and practice green was much slower than the course greens.
This course would be great if the fairways were dry. I would recommend playing this course if it hasn’t rained in awhile.
