5 star layout, 3 star conditions but improving

Great course layout, makes you think your way around it. Course suffered significant winter kill, greens are recovering (80% grass), tee boxes still need a lot of work. Fairways in good condition but
dry, need water. Golfnow price of $25 is fair for the
conditions as of July 4, 2018.

No sand in greenside bunkers

Great layout, fairways are probably the best in the Triad considering the harsh winter. Very challenging course with extreme number of bunkers. Every green is surrounded by deep bunkers. Bump and run to green is impossible here. If you are unfortunate enough to play from a greenside bunker (virtually no sand in the bunkers) you might as well leave your sand wedge in your bag. What sand there is appears to be construction red clay sand with numerous pebbles and is extremely hard-packed. All you can do is chip out of the bunkers. Hopefully they will invest in quality sand!!!

Nice golf course, great GolfNow value

Really nice course layout with doglegs, some challenging water hazards, and rolling terrain. Fair test of golf in a scenic part of NC. A few greens had extreme slopes making ball positioning very important.

Excellent golf course

Another challenging Davis Love golf course design with numerous forced carries over hazards. Makes you think on virtually ever shot(Yardage book is invaluable). Greens were in good shape considering the hot summer weather.

Good course but needs water

Forest Oaks is a very nice golf course but it is not in top condition. Meaning the fairways were browning -out due to lack of rain/watering. It appears the new ownership is barely watering the course. Some of the tees had virtually no grass. But that said the greens are in very good condition and at GolfNow discounted rates a very good value for the money.

Great golf course

Played the white tees at about 6000 yds and it was more than enough. Tee shots are challenging because of multitudes of mounds, hazards and o.b. Sand traps were numerous, deep but in excellent condition. Thanks to GolfNow for the great rate.

Great Layout

Little River is a real gem. Good variety of holes with water and sand traps. Some carries over water require perfect ball strikes. Would play it again-thanks to Golfnow prices.

great hidden gem

This was my first time playing Tillery Tradition and I was very impressed with the layout. It's a hilly golf course with generous driving areas but places a premium on second shots to the greens. Course was very well maintained. Lots of sand traps.

Palmer course. Good layout, poor condition

Nice layout will challenge most golfers. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the course was in poor condition. Bentgrass greens had lots of bare spots and common bermuda growing in them. Traps had weeds growing in them, fairways were nearly burned out from lack of water, even though the summer was super wet. I hope somebody rescues this course soon!!
