Straight fairways, a lot of undulations, good condition of front nines but poor back nines

I played 18 holes with my friends starting at Wednesday noon. Fairways are pretty straight. I remembered the 6th is challenging because of the big pond in front of and at the left of the green. The course is not in good condition. I may say fair condition instead. The greens of the last a few holes are pretty bad and unable to put. But I only paid $16.

Small greens challenging your short gaming.

I usually hit around 100. I played the blue tees. The fairways are wide open. However, some big trees are located at annoying places to make troubles for me that I may need to layup a shot to avoid hitting the branches. The fairway condition is not very good. Maybe because I played after a rainy Saturday. The greens are really small which is typical for courses of somw history. It really requires a lot of my short game, especially the 10-20yards chipping. The pace is good. We 2some walked 4 hours for the 6600 blue tees. Would recommend if you have a college student ID, 16.5 for walking 18 holes.

Nicely designed, fair course condition

The course takes advantage of the hilly terrans in Bastrop. The fairways are only in fair condition. Back nines are harder and more interesting than the front nine. The 15 th hole has a fantastic view of the Colorado river passing through with over 100 feet height. The course is nicely designed but not as good as the Pine forest country club nearby. Worth 20 dollars a round. Would recommend to play once!
