The new greens have stayed immaculate. They had a Ranger out pushing the pace. It was a good experience the next phase will be to clean up the fairways and county will be looking like it used to. I also like the fact that they finally made the double green between four and six to separate greens !

As many folks know, Heron Bay has been on the decline. We wanted to give it a shot. While it’s nowhere near it’s glory day, It was in pretty good shape. The fairways were lush. The greens rolled nicely. It still doesn’t drain well, but it wasn’t wet so that was a plus. The traps needed some love, they aren’t edged well. But overall, it was very enjoyable, and I would go back as I enjoy the course. Stay out of the traps and it’s a pretty easy track, but beware of the wind!

I am baffled after reading some of these reviews. I play golf weekly in South Florida rotating around many courses. Although this course is only 6400 yards from the tips it is one of the most challenging courses in the county, and in excellent shape. It is almost as if these reviews are written by competitors. The course and fairways are in great condition and probably the most difficult greens in south Florida with so many ongilations. I cannot speak to the pace of play as we know the world is filled with terrible golfers, and the one time I had an issue I was able to tell the ranger who asked the group in front of us to let us play through. We were a 2 behind a 4. The only downfall of this course is there's no clubhouse it's in the trailer but welcome to Davie.

Course looked really nice. They did a great job edging the fairways. They fixed up the greens finally. They removed a lot of trees. I was pretty impressed as I've played colony over the years dating back to 2003. I would say comfortably the course is in its best shape since 2006.

Finally a day without rain on Saturday lead to some great conditions Sunday. Greens 1 and 9 are being worked on. Fairways needed to be mowed but that's due to the rain. Can't mow when it's wet. Played in 3 hours. Course looks much better than it did a few months ago.

Teed off at 8:22. Finished after 1. Other than that, perfect.

Beautiful condition. Pace was great at 7am. Finished by 1030. Had an awesome day out.

I've played this course plenty over the last 11 years. It was sad to see it go downhill, but it really has made the turn for the better under new management. It's my first time back since the closing last summer. The fairways are in great shape (best I've seem them since 04/05). The rough is great, not patchy.. Bunkers have been fixed. And other than 4 or 5 greens that have dead spots, the greens are in great shape. Tee boxes are perfect. It's one of the most beautiful yet difficult layouts. I'll be coming back often as its the best value for the money. So happy it's looking great, keep up the work!

I am big on course conditions. This course Immaculate. Beautiful greens, Tee boxes, fairways. Very challenging. Problem was it's Florida in late April. It's hot. This course needs a ranger, round was over 5 hours. In the summer this will be brutal.

Ill start with the one downside. The pace of play was a little slow. However, it was a saturday 11:30 tee time and it was a beautiful day so the course was packed. The course is in excellent shape, minus a green or two that needed some minor touch up. It's challenging, but if you play well you can score well. The value was great, it was $36 bucks through golfnow. The staff was great all around from the beautiful cart girls to the gentlemenly starters. Great experience, will def be back. .
