Southbridge Golf Club
Played On 06/22/2018Very Enjoyable
Played here 4 or 5 times a year for 4 or 5 years. The course was in the best shape I have ever seen. The greens putted very well...if you like moderately fast greens. They were a little hard, but it was very hot so I can understand that. We will definitely be back soon.
Lost Plantation Golf Club
Played On 02/07/2018Glad I went here to play
Like most golf courses in the winter after a rainy period it was a little wet.....However the greens putted well which is always the most important thing I look for. There were many extremely pretty holes and I thought it was a well designed layout. Looking forward to play here again in warmer weather with a lot of green grass. Very nice for a city owned course
Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort

Greens, greens, that is what brings you back when the tees, fairways, and traps are good. It's all good at Sea Palms and the greens are very good. I'll be back soon.
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes
Played On 01/26/2018Always Good
Best greens in the Savannah area. An hour drive but it is worth it. They have even put a lot of work into the traps. Very good range balls and turf to hit off of. As good a practice green as you would ever want....
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes
Played On 11/25/2017Excellent Greens
The greens could not have putted better. If you love great greens play here. Fairly wide fairways but some have raps that will catch errant tee shots.
The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island
Played On 11/20/2017Marines excel
Enjoyable scenic golf course. Very, very fast greens since the Bermuda has stopped growing. We'll be back many times even though its a 90 minute drive.

Bacon Park Golf Course
Played On 10/20/2017Donal Ross didn't set the pins......
Bacon Park is in VERY good condition...except for the deep rough on a few holes. However, every time I play here there are several holes that have "almost goofy golf pin placements." We asked one them why they did this on one occasion. The response was "what's the matter, is it too hard for you?" Please don't look for crowns and ridges to place pins. It is a public golf course ...not the US Open.
Mary Calder Golf Club
Played On 10/09/2017Mary Calder is comming back
I know Mary Calder had fallen on hard times for a few years...but today it was enjoyable. The greens were a little slow dew to the course staff had the day off(Columbus Day)I could tell that they would put pretty well when cut. I made 3 birdies even though they were slow. Every green is trapped and elevated and the only real weakness on the course is that the traps need some new sand. I am actually looking forward to play here again....If you like to play fast with no waiting ...Play Mary Calder.
Almost perfect...greens were very good..
Only a suggestion ...plant Zoysia grass on the 11th and 16th tees since Bermuda does not do well in morning shade.
Blueberry Plantation Country Club
Played On 07/04/2017Perfect ....Perfect.....
If you enjoy great putting greens, fairways good enough to play the ball as it lies and a relaxing pace of play....this is it. You won't have to wait , you won't be pushed and this course can be very interesting or easy depending on the tees you choose...Can't wait to take golfing friends to see this "GEM"
Southbridge Golf Club

Played On 02/27/2017DON'T GO OVER THE GREEN
A true Donald Ross test. All greens are elevated and well trapped. Greens are fast and very undulating. Some pins are very tough as they are placed on crowns ....the maintenance staff is a somewhat sadistic. That is my only complaint ...quite a few placements a just unfair. Fairways will not be green and softer until April.
Jekyll Island Golf Club - Great Dunes Course
Played On 12/26/2014AS CLOSE TO SCOTLAND AS YOU'LL SEE
A shotmakers course, You'll play 2 of the hardest par 3's in the Golden Isles. Not difficult after you MISS the green...but almost impossible to birdie no 6 or number 8. The course is the same as it was in the early 1930's when my grandfather would come over from Sea Island( where he the Pro -Greenskeeper) and help them with any turf problems the were having difficulty with.. Andy Bean learned a lot of his shots on this course as a young boy
