I last played this about 15 years ago as a guest. The greens and bunkers are much improved and in very good condition. The fairways could use some work. The layout is a flat urban style but long and challenging.

Since Summit Point was sold and renamed Bay View the course has done nothing but improve. For the most part the bald spots and marshes have been replaced with beautiful green fairways. The greens are in great shape. We seldom played the old Summit Point but Bay View will certainly be part of our regular course rotation.

Spring Valley is a well designed, challenging and enjoyable course to play any time but it is one of the few in the Bay Area that remains enjoyable in wet weather. Only 3 holes (9, 10 & 18) suffer real problems with standing water and even they a playable. Drainage is such that we encountered no muddy bogs.

My partner an I have played once a week through this wet rainy winter. Spring Valley is the only course that has been consistently fun throughout this weather.

I have played Eagle Ridge a number of times and generally find it to be a challenging but fair course. On this particular occasion, my partner and I went out on the second dry day after 3 weeks of torrential rain. The course did not play well. Water hazards that did not exist before suddenly became major obstacles. The ground was muddy and, therefore, the fairways had not been mowed. So, even balls hit right down the center of the fairway often became lost. Sometimes they were found laying in the grass. Sometimes they were plugged in the mud. Some times they just weren't findable.

Don't get me wrong. This is a great course. Just play it in the late spring, summer or fall. Only play it in the winter during a drought!

This is a challenging course that could be great with a few simple fixes. First, the tee boxes need significant work. They are very uneven making it difficult to find a firm stance or hit a clean drive. Second, signage giving direction to the next hole or, at times, identifying the hole, is sorely lacking. Third, the carts have been ‘upgraded’ with GPS in such a way that assists course management but interferes with the game. The upgrade does not include a screen to show you course layout and distance to the flag. Instead, it locks the cart up at random distances from the green requiring you to back the cart up beyond a line marked by two yellow stakes, one or both of which you may not be able to see from your current position. A screen giving course layout, distance to flag and a warning of approach to the lock-up point would serve management’s purpose while providing a benefit to players instead of aggravation!

Other than that, as I said earlier, it is a challenging course. The greens and fairways are in great shape. I indicated that I would recommend the course but only with a warning about the issues noted above.

This course has a challenging layout, nice greens but some fairways appear to have recently been plowed. Maybe this is part of a rehab project (hopefully) but, if so, give warning or take it off the market.

This was a very wet day for golf but Wes always enjoy this course. So, we played anyway. The staff were great!

A lot of water in play, as the name implies, and long tree lined fairways but the cherry on top is the greens. They are challenging but excellently maintained!

Played the East course ... well maintained course with challenging layout.

Dublin Ranch is a short but challenging course. I was looking forward to play it for the first time since the COVID lock down. Unfortunately, this is the only course I have played since the lock down which was in worse condition than before the lock down. Many fairways are bald. Others have been heavily aerated with dirt plugs left strewn all over the play area. I like Dublin Ranch and I will certainly go back but sure Hope course management cleans it up.

Summit Point has never been one of my favorite courses which is why it has been 3 years +/- since I have played there. However, I was shocked at how run down the course was. Clearly there has been some damage done by wild pigs (or maybe raccoon) but much of the problems with the course are maintenance related. Fairways in particular are bald. In places they have been plowed such that they more resemble hazards rather than fairways. Tee boxes are also in poor shape. The cherry on top was the fact that I could not warm up for my round because they had run out of range balls!?!
