Played On 11/13/2023Great Experience at the Oasis
Thank you for a wonderful golf experience yesterday. From check in to check out, everything was just great!
Someone offered to take my bag upon arrival, check in staff were helpful and attentive, ordered a sandwich and it was ready in no time, playing conditions were very good considering fresh out of overseeing, clubs were cleaned at the end of my round! Not sure tgere is any way you could do better. Thank you to all!
Shadow Hills Golf Club - North Par-3 Course
Played On 11/10/2023Over-seeding
As Desert Rats we all know that overseeding is a requirement - a necessary evil. But I wish the Courses could be more transparent about this process and what the course conditions were like. The course was going into overseeding but the greens were very quic, very playable and we still had a lot of fun. But it would have been nice to know that the course was completely brown and two days from going into overseeding.

Great course to improve your short game and to try to eliminate the 3 putt.

Pace of play was good until the starter inserted a foursome in front of us at the turn. Seems membership has its privileges …but not cool!

Played On 02/06/2020Beautiful Course - Greens have improved - Sand Traps are like concrete
This is a beautiful course in the heart of Palm Desert and in general it is a very nice place to play but expect a near 5 hour round as there are no marshals and many of the participants are guests of the resort and have all day to play. We were 4:45 to finish.
The greens are an improvement over the previous iteration of sanded, sprayed and coloured to blend with the landscape. They still feel artificial in some respects but they are an improvement and green speed was good.
The Sand Traps were like concrete in the bottom and each of our foursome had a turn trying desperate to get under the ball with very limited results.
Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
Played On 02/02/2018Speed of play versus pace of play
Indian Canyons is a beautiful golf course, with manicured greens and a fairways and breathtaking mountain views. The staff are friendly and efficient and the course is very playable for every skill level. The one consistent pitfall is that each and every time I play, the pace of play is very poor with a wait time after almost every shot, from tee box to green. On this last occasion our golf round took us 5 hours to play which is one of the primary things that annoys golfers of every level. Everyone is aware of the financial pressures on golf courses in the valley but I think that IC is taking it too far. The tee times are not spaced far enough apart, placing too many golfers on the course at one time and the PACE OF PLAY (not just the speed of play) is a real downer

Played On 01/27/201840-50% of your shots are on the green
This is a beautiful golf course with a great practice area, and a nice layout that gives the golfer some fantastic views of palm trees, water features and mountains thatoare second to none. The tee boxes and fairways are in perfect condition but for some reason the JW has opted for dormant greens that look great from a distance but upon closer inspection are like putting on a poorly crafted artificial turf. The greens are slow, crusty, eneven and are such a disappointment in comparison to almost any other golf course in the valley. Love the course ...hate the greens!

Had another nice round at the Oasis and everything was really good except for check in. Certainly not the typically pleasant welcome and greeting from the pro shop staff. Props to the fellow who greeted us and placed our clubs on a cart and then followed up with cleaning our clubs at the end. Props to the fellow in the Resturant who allowed us in for a drink even thought things were closed up in preparation for dinner! Both of these folks received a tip and our admiration and appreciation.. Tip for the “Pro’s” behind the desk - step up your game!
Heritage Palms Golf Club
Played On 11/21/2017Thanks to the Management and Staff @ HP
My wife and I are not members at Heritage Palms but about 6 times a year we try to get a tee time and play as guests. Each time we continue to be impressed with every aspect of the GC and the Club. Yesterday was no exception and the guest we brought with us felt the same way. Thank-you for making golf at your facilities such a wonderful experience!
Well done!

We love to play the JW Marriott. We are residents and live just down the street which gives us playting priviledges at Desert Willow but we really enjoy taking our friends to the Marriott and John in the starting booth is second to none. He just has a way with people that is always first class!
To the grounds crew and the rest, keep up the great work!
Rams Hill Golf Club
Played On 02/23/2017El Perfecto!!!
Rams Hill is a perfect example of how a golf course should be managed. And it all starts with the staff. This was our first time to Rams Hill in Borrego Springs and we could not have been more delighted with how our day at the golf course went. Every staff person we met seemed to be at the top of their game. From the greeting we received when we first stepped out of our vehicle at the bag drop through to the final farewell as we departed from the restaurant after our round, the staff at the golf course went above and beyond to make us feel appreciated and valued as a customer. There is no question that playing conditions at Rams Hill are absolutely outstanding but on top of it all it was the staff that really stood out on this day.
Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course

Very nice golf course with a nice layout that mixes in just enough of a challenge with friendly resort style fairways and greens. The course is in excellent condition and the views of the mountains are spectacular as a backdrop to a beautiful golf experience.

Well designed course with lots of water features, a variety of tee boxes and some beautiful views. Although we were "outsiders" the staff inside and outside of the pro shop were very friendly and made us feel like we belonged. A wonderful golf experience.

Played On 04/09/2014Holders should be told!
Everything about this facility was fantastic but holders should've advised that the greens have been punched and sanded and green fees should be discounted accordingly. With 54 holes you should not have to force holders to play in sanded and punched greens. IMO.

Love the course and the changes you are making. Thanks for adding the ice and drink station out front - brilliant! However it is disappointing to only be able to hit a few balls before the round. I feel you need to increase the quantity of golf balls coining out of the dispenser. One of the biggest reasons I drive out to TL is because of your practice area and I was not even able to work through all of my clubs with the quantity of balls allocated on the range.

Played On 02/03/2014Manager needs a lesson in customer service
When I came to check in, the Manager asked me if I was wearing a collared shirt. I said I was but that wasn't good enough he asked to see it and told me I would need to ensure that the collar could be seen by other golfers on the course. It was a brisk morning and admittedly I was wearing a sweater whereby you could not see the collar on my golf shirt. At the same time I noticed several other players who were also wearing sweaters and you could not see whether or not they were wearing shirts with collars and yet they were not singled out by the manager. With over 40 years of experience in retail, I suggest that the manager be retrained or that he work in an area of the golf course where he is seen but not heard.
