Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run
Played On 05/30/2023Always a great test
We always enjoy going to Golden Bear and try to play it every time we are on the island. It is a stern test from the tips yet very playable for my wife from the forward tees. Course is always in excellent condition. Highly recommend.
Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run
Played On 06/02/2018Challenging layout
Tee to green the course is in excellent condition, I just wish that they would take the time to roll the greens maybe once or twice a week. Very demanding off the tee but a little disappointing when you get on the greens, which have a lot of grass, that they are bumpy and grainy. It would honestly be one of the best public access courses on the island if the greens were smoother. It is the only public access Nicklaus design on the island.
Oyster Reef Golf Course
Played On 06/01/2018Excellent layout
Always one of our favorite courses to play on the island. The course is always in a good shape and they are about to close down for the summer to resurface the greens and are already in the process of rebuilding the bunkers. I have been playing this course since the early 80s and it never disappoints!
Dolphin Head Golf Course
Played On 08/27/2016Excellent MiniVerde greens
Tee to green the course is in above average condition and the MiniVerde Bermuda greens are some of the best putting surfaces to be found on the island. There are quite a few short dogleg par 4s but the variety of holes keeps the round interesting. Definitely a placement golf course. Fun round!
The Club at Savannah Harbor
Played On 11/30/2014Beautiful setting and views of Savannah
This was our third time playing the course and it is always a pleasure. Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways were over -seeded this time of year and due to the recent large amount of rainfall they had not been able to mow them so they were quite long but none the less still very much playable. Did make for a very long course from the black (championship) tees! I would suggest any player to play one tee forward for their skill level as this is a very long, difficult course in general and being at sea level the ball doesn't go as far you may be used to.
