They should not allow anyone to play this course as the grass is dead and being prepared for a major renovation. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are dead and torn up. Just wait until December when they are supposed to be done with renovations. Don’t waste your money. If I would’ve known this before purchasing I wouldn’t have purchased the round.

Birdsfoot is the best public course in the Pittsburgh area for the money. It took a good bit of rain in the morning and course was well drained besides some traps in the afternoon. Fairways were nicely cut and greens were rolling true. You always have people that don't fix ball marks, but that is common at any course. Overall I will definitely be coming back and play some more.

Most greens had more than one dead spot on them. I don't know if they had a bad season or what, but beware before you play. Pace of play for a Friday was excellent, and make sure you play target golf. Water on almost every hole as well as some houses near by.
